James Vincent Flood Obituary
FLOOD, JAMES VINCENT, 91, died Tuesday, July 1, 2014.

He was a native of Hardinsburg KY, a Navy veteran of World War II, and an avid Chicago Cubs and Louisville Cardinal Fan.

He was a baker by trade and started his career at Heitzman's Bakery on Burnett Avenue and retired from the Ford Motor Company/National Canteen Service. Like a true baker, he showed his love to his family with food. He baked many birthday and wedding cakes for family members, pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving and donuts for slumber parties.

He is survived by his children, Beth Turner (Danny), Anna Kaiser (lee), Marshall Flood (Mary Jean) and Jimmy Flood; sister, Norma Ellis; brother. Ralph Flood; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the Essex Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their compassion and care.

His funeral service will be 1:30 p. m. Thursday at Embry-Bosse Funeral Home, 2723 Preston Highway with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 - 8 p. m. Wednesday and after 11 a. m. Thursday.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Kentucky Humane Society.
