Campisano, Gladys L, 'Goldsmith',
87, returned to her Heavenly Father, Tuesday, July 8, 2014.
A self-professed "river rat," she relished being near the river, setting trot lines, and frying up some fish. Gladys loved to sing gospel and country songs, especially on road trips. She told legends of the "hainted hollers" of her childhood and great snake stories to the kids.
Gladys was predeceased by her husband, Frank A. Campisano; son, Robert; two sisters; two brothers; and one grandchild.
Left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Linda, of Kansas; sons, Frank A. (Suggie), Michael (Debbie), and Vincent (Donna) Campisano of Louisville; four brothers, Elmo, Gaylen, Ronnie, and Terry Goldsmith. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her funeral is 9am Saturday at Fern Creek Funeral Home , 5406 Bardstown Road with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is 1-8pm Friday.
