Kalbfleisch, Carol L. (Little),

71 of Louisville, passed away at her home in the care of her family on Friday, July 11, 2014.

Daughter of the late William Earl and Mary Louise (Nobis) Little of Canton, OH, Carol received her Bachelor's degree in teaching from Bellarmine/Ursuline College, and her Master's in teaching from the University of Louisville. She taught elementary and middle school for 39 years in Henry, Oldham and Jefferson counties. She loved spending time with her family and friends at her home and at her cabin on the river. Carol was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Eminence.

Carol and her family wish to express their gratitude to Dr. Lynn Parker and her staff at the J. Graham Brown Cancer Center as well as the professionals at Hosparus for their compassion and care.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Doug Kalbfleisch of Eminence; daughter, Cheri Kraus and her husband, Ken, of LaGrange; Son, Ted and his wife, Eileen (Rickard) Kalbfleisch, of Louisville; sister, Jeanne Ann (Little) Carson of Chicago; grandchildren, Kyle and Kasey Kraus; Ted Kalbfleisch, II; Jacob Kalbfleisch; Nieces, Jennifer (Carson) Swanson & Rosie Kalbfleisch.

Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. John Chrysostom (122 Elm Street in Eminence). Visitation 2-9 p.m. Friday at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home (

Memorial contributions may be given to the James Graham Brown Cancer Center.
