Bolin, Howard Elmo,

87, of Mt. Washington, passed away August 10, 2014. He was born July 16, 1927, in Mt. Eden, KY, to the late Harry E. Bolin and Lena Butts Sweazy. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, Master Mason from Salt River Lodge 180 and a member of Home Builders' for over 35 years.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dorothy Bolin, three children, Michael Bolin (Amy), Lynn Ice (Mike) and Glenn Bolin (Tammy); two grandsons, Josh Bolin and Jason Ice; and a brother, Eddie Butts (Betty).

Howard is preceded in death by a step-father, Tyler Sweazy.

A Celebration of Howard's Life will be conducted Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 12 p.m. in Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 13, 2014 from 2-8 p.m.
