Nett, William "Billy" Bernard,

60, died Saturday, August 16, 2014, at his home in Louisville. He was born on June 15, 1954 to Carl and Agnita (Bryan) Nett.

Billy graduated from St. Xavier High School and proudly donned the green and gold on the football field. He was a loyal employee of Whittenberg Construction for over three decades, where his father worked for over forty years, and where nine of ten brothers also worked. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 37 years, Mary Pat (Wolf), and their three children, William Corey, Ryan Christopher (Moe), and Kara Anne (Nett) Hinkley (Jed Hinkley), and by three wonderful grandchildren, Connor Jackson, Hunter Roth, and Maeve Gabriella. He is also survived by nine siblings, Carl (Barbara), Paul (Jennifer), Fred (Rose), Kenny (Mary Beth), Mike (Kathy), Tommy (Donna), David (Martha), Mary and Danny, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; among others who counted Billy as family.

Billy left his mark across Louisville; from the Natatorium at the University of Louisville, The Willow, Ford Motor Company, Churchill Downs, The Galt House, The Executive Inn Louisville, and the YUM Center, as well as many other local landmarks through his dedicated career in construction.

Billy was an honest and hardworking man who gave everything to support his family. He was a special, beloved and humorous husband and father, and a tremendously loyal friend to all who were worthy of his friendship. He instilled a passion for advocacy, environmental conservation, and practicality in his children.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father and his brothers, Pat and Ronnie Nett.
