Dittmer, Doris,

93, passed away Monday, August 18,2014 surrounded by her loving family.

She was a longtime member of St John's Lutheran Church and of St John's Women's Ministry. Doris was an avid bridge player as well as a long term volunteer for the Kentucky Center For the Arts. Doris enjoyed square dancing and traveling with her dear husband of 65 years, Edward Dittmer.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Dittmer.

She is survived by her daughter and son, Barbara House (Mark)and David Dittmer (Sandra); grandchildren, Stephen House, Stephanie Mattingly, David Dittmer Jr., Sarah House and Melissa Dittmer; as well as nine great-grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church, 901 Breckenridge Lane, with entombment to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.

Visitation is to be held from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Pearson's Funeral Home, 149 Breckenridge Lane, Louisville, KY. Expressions of sympathy may be made to WHAS Crusade for Children or to the Women of ELCA at St John's Lutheran Church.
