Windham, Eunice,

91, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday August 19th. Eunice was born in Owen County Kentucky to the late Roy and Essie Mae Smith Ellis. Mrs. Windham was a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ, the Buechel Woman's Club, worked at Stewart's Department Store and loved to quilt. Eunice is survived by her two daughters, Dianna (Wayne) Jolly, and Patricia (Gary) Woods, 3 granddaughters; Jennifer (Josh) Allen, Amanda Dickinson, and Abby Woods, 3 great grandchildren; Jackson, Jude and Julian, and her sisters Betty Rogers, Doris (Jerry) Kistner, and brother David (Charlotte) Ellis. Eunice was preceded in death by her husband Carl Windham, and brothers; Billy, Gerald, Leroy and Phillip Ellis. We would like to thank the wonderful care given to mom by her granddaughter, Jennifer Allen and her family for over 3 years in their home. We also appreciate the loving care given to her by Amanda Gutterman, the staff of Eastern Star Home and the Hosparus staff.

A celebration of Eunice's life will be 2pm Saturday August 23 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd., Louisville, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be 2-8pm Friday August 22 at the funeral home.
