Carr, Doris Marie (Rohe),

87, passed away Thursday August 21, 2014 at Essex Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Louisville, KY to Bernard and Marie (Hodges) Rohe.

Doris was retired long distance Operator for Bell South and a Catholic by faith.

She was Secretary for the South End Sunday Bowling League for 55 years and was inducted into the Louisville Bowlers Hall of Fame in 2007.

She was an avid true blue UK fan and traveled to many basketball games with her dear friends. She loved her 3 "B's"…BOWLING, BASKETBALL & BEER.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Edward, Anthony, Jimmy, and Joseph Rohe, also by her Aunt Nell.

Survivors include her loving husband of 66 years, Mark T. Carr; her daughter: Cathy Metts (John); two grandchildren, Jena Monsma (Ben) and John Anthony Metts; and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Catholic Church, 6901 Dixie Hwy., with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 2-8 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy. Expressions of Sympathy to the . Online condolences:
