51, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2014.
He is survived by his siblings, Jeanette Hollins, Brenda Powell, Delores, James, Linda, Maryetta and Stephanie Starling.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday at Bates Memorial Baptist Church 620 E. Lampton St.; Burial in Green Meadows; Visitation is 6-9 p.m. Sunday at G.C. Williams.

Vinnie you will be missed, I remember you recently through a big birthday party for your mom, and playing all her favorite music, good smelling bbq in the air... Vincent you will be truly missed and I always remember sharing pillow talk with you. Our friendship was about caring and sharing and the way we felt at that moment in time. I wish you would have made that move boo. Vincent shared how it was time to move on from the area that he was in and make real life decisions. Seeking a relationship again that he could build something with someone he could put his trust and love into. I remember telling him in the a m lean on GOD for which he will place that special someone in your life. Then I remember the laughter started and we went on and on. I wasn't that chick nor was I that random nor side chick .I got to know a man that had the same similarities as a woman and understood how she felt. Thanks for sharing with me your inner feelings. I will always think of you. R.I.P. my friend. To the family he placed you before himself and he loved you all. I know cause he shared it with me. That man loved his family no matter what. It was father's day 2005. I was strung out on drugs. Nobody would even talk to me.Vinnie went in INDI'S and came out with CHICKEN ROLLS WEDGES and a pink lemonade. He looked at me and said THIS AIN'T YOU MAN, BUT I'M WAITIN' ON YA. I've known him for years and he had never changed. The truth is, I've been all around the world.The Army sent me a lotta places, I even drive semis. And out of all the people I've met i have NEVER met a guy like Vinnie.
