SIMPSON, DENISE COMER, 48, of Lexington, KY, passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2009 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.

She was a native of Bardstown, KY. Denise was employed at Central Baptist Hospital and was a graduate of the University of Kentucky, Elizabethtown Community College and Bethlehem High School.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bill and Sym O'Daniel of Bardstown and Carl B. Comer of Hodgenville; stepgrandparents, Leo Boone, of Howardstown and Tom Filiatreau, of Bardstown; and grandparents-in-law Robert and Leeolie Simpson and Melvin McGuire, of Lexington.

She is survived by her husband, Timothy W. Simpson; and two daughters, Jordan Simpson and Natalie Simpson, of Lexington; her parents, Don and Mary Ann (O'Daniel) Comer, of Bardstown; a brother, Doug Comer (Charlene), of Shepherdsville; two sisters, Donna Comer Harris of Oxford, OH and Diane Comer, of Louisville; parents-in-law, Wilbur and Jean Simpson, Lexington, KY; grandmother, Dorothy Filiatreau, of Hodgenville; grandparent-in-law, Margaret McGuire, of Lexington; brother-in-law, Tony Simpson (Kathy), of Lexington; nieces Laura Harris, Elizabeth Williams (Jon), Colleen Comer; nephews Carl Harris and Curtis Simpson; dear friends, Beth Dunn Corbett, B.J. Walters and Donita Cantrell; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m. Monday at Kerr Bros.- Main Street, Lexington, KY.
