Melchior Siebel Obituary
Melchior was a 1941 graduate of the Louisville College of Pharmacy and he owned Siebel Pharmacy in Fairdale, KY. He had been retired in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
He is preceded in death by his first wife Ruth Siebel; brother Bernard Siebel and sister Agnes Gorgas.
Survivors include his loving wife Derna; two children Stephan A. (Donna) Siebel and Cheri (Leo) Reherman; Sisters Marie (Karl) Frick and Martha (Robert) Lampman; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and several step-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 2141 Lancashire Ave., with interment to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation to the public will be from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.

I moved to Fairdale when I was 6 years old. Your Father was our neighbor. I still remember going to the drug store and talking to him. He gave me a roll top kids desk which to this day still sits in my living room. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of your loss.

Steve and Cheri, Sorry to hear about your dad. Thinking about the "Drug Store" brings back a lot of memories. Jim and I remember spinning on the stools when we were little. It was the place to go when we were teenagers to meet up with friends. On Sunday mornings trying to get there from Fairdale Baptist Church before Mt. Holly Methodist Church let out. It was standing room only around the fountain. Your dad was always so much fun. A lot of folks depended on him for medical advice (couldn't always afford to go to the doctor). It was a real loss to Fairdale when the pharmacy closed.
