Mom, I still miss you big time. Where can I go on Sunday afternoon to eat, laugh and hug you? I still have people tell me that you were their teacher and how much they loved you. That´s great news but I love you more, don´t forget. Tell dad I love him too

Lisa, Lynn,and Michelle,
I just learned thru the AHS alumni newsletter of the loss of your mother. As women, it is so difficult to think of not having your mother there to guide you as you mother your own children. I am praying for each of you, that you will remember the life lessons your mom taught you and lived out- and that you will somehow keep the smile on your face that you've always had.
Ditto!!
And much prayers,

Dear Meiners Family-
I'm truly saddened to hear of Norma's death. I last saw her a couple of years ago at a UK football game - her beautiful blue eyes sparkling. I'll always remember the first time I met her. All those kids and she still had her sanity!!!! I was struck by her warmth and generosity. She was so committed to her family and to the good of the community. Norma Meiners will be deeply missed by all those whose lives were touched by her remarkable presence. Love to all of you and please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Family and Friends,
Thank you very much to everyone who has taken the time to write a message in our Mother's Guest Book. These past few weeks have been very difficult and sorrowful. The love and support we feel from these messages brings us comfort as we try to adjust to life without our Mother. Mom taught us so many things, but most of all she taught us love. Love was at the core of her being, and I pray that we may continue her legacy of love. It truly is all that matters in this world.
Mom, today is December 29, Kenneth's birthday. He used to call it, "4 days on Christmas". For 11 years I used to wake up and cry on Kenneth's birthday. But, today I find comfort on my nephew's birthday because I know that "Grammy" is celebrating with him. Give him a kiss from us! We love you so much Mom! Words are too inadequate to express what we feel. I will treasure the relationship that I had with you all of the days of my life!
With Love and Gratitude, Lisa

Mom,
As I woke up this morning, I thought about all of the wonderful years our family had together. Christmas will not be the same this year without your cheery face running around the house making sure everyone gets their gift and food to eat.
Mom, as I watched you lay in that hospital bed in pain, I tried to hide the tears, many times by running out of the room. I prayed that god would take away your pain, by either giving us a miracle, or letting you go.
We all love you and miss you so much. Don't worry about dad; we will take care of him. Some day we will all join you in heaven.
See you then,
Love,
Michele #9

Grandma,
We miss you so much!
There were so many days of crying and weeping, but we all know your pain is over. We also know you're safe in heaven with God. I will miss your smiling face. I'll also miss going to your house on weekends. With days full of swimming at the pool, eating at White Castle, and playing Tripoley and penny poker. We are sad that you're gone, but know that your spirit will rein with us forever.
I love you Grandma.

Grandma was one of the most influential people in my life. She introduced me into the pro-life movement, and now I go to Washington D.C. every year. She taught me countless lessons about life, love, God, and forgiveness. Grandma was always at my baseball and basketball games in Lexington, and always ready with a dollar after the game. She always called on birthdays and sent a card. I always enjoyed coming to see her on our birthday sundays. Grandma was a very special woman who cared way more about everyone else than herself. I know she is watching us all now and is in peace.

Sorry to hear about the passing of your mother, just wanted to offer my condolences. From what I have heard about your mother on the radio, she seemed like a very caring and thoughtfull person. I almost lost my father-in-law last year around christmas and I know what you are going through around the holidays, time is the only thing that can heal the loss. My prayers go out to you and your family, you always brighten my day when I get to listen to your show, I just felt I needed to send my condolences.

Dear Maureen, Mel and Family,
I have had the pleasure of meeting and working with several of your family members over the years. I know your mother (wife) will be missed dearly by everyone she touched. I am so glad I was able to tell her what a generous and kind person you are Maureen. She will be missed at the annual Kemba dinner.Norma was the perfect example that it is okay to be a mom, and how so many lives can be
touched by one person. Sorry I did not make it to the visitation. I did not learn of her passing until Sunday after the funeral. May peace be with you through the holidays and years to come.

Terry, for many years now you have been a steady part of my life as I listen to you on the commute home each night. ALthough I have not met you personally, you have a way of becoming such a part of people's life as we spend time with you each day. The stories that you have shared of your family and of your mother have touched my heart and have indicated that you truly had a saint on loan from GOD. I pray that you and your family will be able to pull from the wonderful memories that she has left for you as you deal with the loss of someone so precious in your life. You touch many peoples lives with your show and your wharped sense of humor, often helping us to relieve the stress and strains of some rough days. It is such an awesome gift that the Good Lord gives us as his FAMILY, when I read all of the support that you are now receiving back from those people that you touch each and every day.
May God bless you and your entire family as you work through this time of loss. I know your mom must be enjoying the Lord's company and probably sharing a recipe or two with him at this moment. Take care and may God bless. Love in CHRIST, Gene!

Dear Meiners Family,
I was sorry to learn of Norma's passing. I know it is very hard to loose a loved one, especially this time of year. My wife Jody just lost her mother December 5th. We will all miss our loved ones, but cherish the great memories of our lives with them. Take care.

What a pillar Norma Jean Meiner has been. She helped to raise a large family; one that all would be very proud of. Rosie and I were very impressed as we showed up on a Thanksgiving day to a loving home where we saw many family members who all cared for each other and those around them. Our sister in law Michele and brother Tony did nothing but praise the entire family. God truly blessed this family, and many around them. You have our deepest sympathies as you deal with this loss.

As I sit here thinking that these past four days have been the longest days of my life, I keep remembering that eternal life has been mom's goal for all of our family, her entire life. She never wavered from her message of putting God first. She wants so much for her family to do God's will on earth, so we can be together again in heaven.
The good Lord has blessed me so, to be raised in such a loving family. I am confident that God has already told my mom "job well done, good and faithful servant".
Each of my siblings know that our parents taught us early and often, to always carry the mighty love of God close to our hearts. As for me and my family, we will know the Lord.
Thanks mom. I love you dearly, and I will see you again someday in paradise. We will take care of Dad.
I love you forever!

She was a truly extraordinary woman and I am proud to call her my grandmother. My memories of her and everything she has taught me will last me forever. I couldn't have asked for a better grandmother or role model, and I know I was truly blessed by God to have her in my life. I only hope that in the future I will be half the grandmother she was. Grandma-
I just wanted to say thank you for being the best Grandmother that I know I could ever have had. You gave me so many memories that I know that I will always cherish deep in my heart. You always made me feel loved, even though I was one of your 46 Grandchildren. Whether it was a walk to Dairy Queen, a trip to the zoo, a ride in your little white car, a Christmas present, Birthday Sunday, a late-night game of Tripoley with Gramps, on vacation at Gulf Shores, going shopping with Aunt Barbara and Melissa, going swimming with Aunt Cindy and her crew, singing "sunflower", your chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast, a Wendy's frostee, meeting Melissa and Nikky at the movies, talking to you on the phone, a message on the message machine saying "hey, it's Grammy! i just wanted to see if you all are coming to birthday sunday this month!", simply a birthday card in the mail, coming all the way to Lexington for our Baptisms, First Communions or basketball games, a Big Mac at McDonalds, Grandpa's green beans for dinner, laying on your bed watching "The Borrowers" or "Mouse Hunt" on your TV, playing Poker, Christmas, or staying with Amanda at your house for a whole weekend. These are only a few of all of the special memories that I got to share with you! You meant so much to all of the many people whose lives you touched. I'll never forget your beautiful smile that could light up a whole room the moment you walked in, or how i knew that you loved me all the time. You were the best Grandma in the whole world to me, up until the last breath that God gave you. I love you Grammy, and you will always have a very special place in my heart!

Grandma,
As I sit here reminiscing and trying to think of what to say, I realize how much I'm going to miss you. From your heart-warming smile to your kind words of wisdom, I will never ever forget you. I think of all of our memories, my favorite being playing Tripoley on those late nights with you and Gramps, having picnics at the park, going to the zoo, sneaking peanut m&m's into the movie theatre, seeing Finding Nemo, Princess Diaries, What a Girl Wants and countless other movies, and just having good laughs. You touched my heart, Grandma, and I hope that you know how much I'm going to miss talking to you on the phone and seeing your shining face at birthday Sundays. Our indescribable memories will be in my heart forever and I will always love you and honor you. Thank you, Grammy, for making such a positive impact on my life and for living your life in such a full way. You were a unique person and I am proud to call you my Grandmother. Dear Mr Meiners and Family,
Your wife and mom/grandma was a great lady. I had a class with her at U of L. When I learned she wanted to be a teacher, I recall thinking she "WANTS" to be a teacher?!!! She didn't need a degree for that..she earned it over and over with the love and caring she bestowed on her family. I know Dutch and Cindy and Michelle and her son, David. One thing I remember about Dutch and Michelle is that they always, always were smiling. May your mom keep smiling on all of you. She's now in the best place she could ever imagine!!!

Terry, I met your mom and dad when they came to the monthly chicken dinner at St Luke Church. I saw immediately where you got your sense of humor. You can rest assured, that your mom lived a good life and left a legacy that will continue.

I have never met you or your family but listen to you a lot on the radio, as everyone else. I just wanted to send my condolences with the loss of your Mother. She will be in heaven with Jesus for His birthday this year. What better place could a person be at on Christmas!!

I know this is a very hard time for you, but you need to celebrate her death because she is going to a better place and I am sure that is what she would want. She would hate for you to mope around every where. She is reborn and will live her eternal life along side of God.

Dear Mel,Terry, and the entire Meiners Family,
We were very sorry to read about the passing of Norma. What a fantastic witness to the love of Jesus. We know she was greeted with a loving hug from her Lord and the words, "Very well done my good and faithful servant". She truly taught all of us how to love and follow Jesus. May God bless you with peace knowing that Saint Norma is watching over you from above.

Dear Meiners Family,
I know of your mother and family through my Aunt Sissy Brand. I've always admired her growing up. Heaven sure did get a beautiful Angel. Her earthly body just needed a rest, and now she is at peace. May God bless and hold you very close through your darkest days. When you are weak; You are strong with His love.
