CLARKSVILLE - Oldham, G. Cash, 81, went to be with his Lord and savior on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Wedgewood Health Care in Clarksville after an illness.

Cash was born Thursday, April 2, 1931 in Princeton, KY to the late Elmer Timothy and Birdie Stallins Oldham. He was a retired, self-employed, board certified ophthalmic dispenser. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 35 in New Albany, a former board member of the Right to Life of Southern Indiana and was an active member of Parkwood Baptist Church in Jeffersonville. He was also a veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Cash is preceded in death by his brother, Emory Oldham; his sisters, Darvel Renn and Colleen Beal; and his grandson, Robert Brandenburg.
Cash is survived by his loving wife, Dolores Highsmith Oldham; his son, Timothy Cash Oldham (Lynne) of Georgetown, IN; his two step-daughters, Karen Smelcher (Fred) of West Terre Haute, IN, and Denise Jolene Howard (Montey) of Virginia Beach, VA; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; his sisters, Shirley Goossen (Clarence) of Rochester, NY, Norma Dailey (Bob) of New Albany, and Lee Ann Heath of Louisville.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Taylor-Wood Funeral Home in Lewisport, KY, (270/295-3312) with Cash's funeral service to be 2 p.m. Friday, November 9, 2012 in the sanctuary of Parkwood Baptist Church, 2300 Redwood Place, Clarksville, with Bro. Jeff Jackson officiating. Visitation will start at 12 p.m. Friday until service time.
