BUCAYU, ERLINDA FIRMALO FETALVER returned to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, December 8, 2012.
She was born in Odiongan, Romblon, Philippines. She was a retired registered nurse, with post graduate training completed at the Mayo Clinic, 1962-1964. She worked as a registered nurse at Fargo Clinic, Fargo, ND, and Baltimore City Hospital teaching school of Johns Hopkins Medical Center. She and her husband are active members of St. Albert the Great Church, member of the Filipino- American Society, FAHA, PAMS Medical Mission group (annual medical mission to the Philippines).
She was a loving daughter to Agaton Fetalver Sr. and Rosario Firmalo Fetalver.
She was an exceptional sister to Percival Fetalver (deceased), Victor Fetalver (deceased), Willy Fetalver (Dr. Nigh Trei), Rogelio Fetalver (deceased), Agaton Fetalver Jr. (Martina), Emmanuel Fetalver (deceased) and Lilia Fetalver Malapote (Rex Malapote).
She was the beloved wife of Dr. Nemesio B. Bucayu Jr. She was a loving mother to Nemilyn Bucayu-Lee (Ron), Michael Bucayu (Michelle) and Patrick Bucayu (Melissa). She was a wonderful grandmother to Sahara, Yasmeen and Vallon Bucayu-Lee.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, December 14, 2012, at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 1395 Girard Dr. Burial will follow at Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Wednesday and 3-7 p.m. Thursday at Arch L. Heady and Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Road.
