CORYDON - Fisher, Harold S., 87, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation-Harrison.

He was born in New Albany, IN on October 5, 1925, the son of John Edward and Ruth Crosby Fisher. He was an employee of Brown-Williamson Tobacco Co. in Louisville. He was a member of VFW Post 2950 where he was the former post chaplain in Corydon and was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church in New Middletown, IN.
He is survived by his wife, Norma Payton Fisher, of Corydon; two sons, Ronald G. Fisher (Judy) of New Salisbury, IN and Mark A. Fisher of Corydon; sister, Ann Yeager of Wheat Ridge, CO; two grandchildren, Shawn Fisher and Cassie Oliver; and four great-grandchildren, Alanah and Cash Oliver and Megan and Jenna Fisher.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon. Pastor Stephen McAfee will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home in Corydon on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m., on Wednesday from 11 a.m.- 8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Thursday.
The family suggests memorial gifts be made to his church.
