Thomas J. "Bud" Timberlake Obituary
CORYDON - Timberlake, Thomas J. "Bud," 89, of Corydon, died Monday, April 1, 2013, at Indian Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.

He was born November 18, 1923, in Harrison County, Indiana, to the late Lee and Siddie Melton Timberlake. Bud was a World War II veteran earning three Bronze Stars in campaigns in Normandy, Northern France and Germany. He was successful in business throughout his life, owning a restaurant, a used car lot and also Bud Timberlake and Son, Inc., a local Sealtest dairy product distributorship. Bud was also a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church, the Fraternal Order of Eagles Old Capitol Aerie #2794, and was a life member of the V.F.W. Post 2950 all in Corydon.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Evelyn Pottorff Timberlake in 1958; his son, Tommy Timberlake in 1961; his sisters, Marcella Jennings, Marjorie Bowan, Edith Will, Dorothy Houghton, Corneil Best and Wilma McCafferty; and his brothers, Woodie, Austin, Bill and Bobby Timberlake.

Survivors include his sisters, Eleanor Albin and Phyllis Smith both of Corydon along with many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 8, 2013, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Rev. Ron Russell will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Tommy, Sarah and Bud Timberlake Scholarship Fund at the Harrison County Community Foundation.

Pallbearers will be Steve and Richard Timberlake, Jim Smith, David Best and Mark and Scott McCafferty. Honorary pallbearers will be Clifford Lahue, Clarence Rhoads, Jr. and Woody Melton, Jr..
