RICE, GABRIEL STEPHAN, ...all because his mom (Shy) and his dad (Keith) fell in love, was this beautiful soul conceived. He took his first breath on September 30, 1981 in Louisville and his last breath on April 12, 2013 in Indianapolis, IN.

Along with his mother, Arlene "Shy" Boehnlein Rice and father, Jacob Keith Rice, Gabriel leaves behind his big sister, Dana Rice Parker (Dennis); his big brother, Jake Rice; his younger sister, Lindsay Rice; his nephews, Josh and Caleb Bastin; and his nieces, Emily and Shay Bastin. Also mourning his passing are many aunts, uncles, cousins and good friends. He was met at the Heavenly Gates by his grandparents, John and Elizabeth Rice, Earl Boehnlein and Margaret Boehnlein; his Uncle Tom Jenkins; and his cousins David and Christopher Seibert, Jason Massey and Brock Jenkins.
Gabriel loved music and playing his guitar, soccer, Red River Gorge, Clifty Falls, camping and anything dealing with the outdoors. He was a leading player on the BBC basketball championship team, member of the Angry Beavers soccer team and one of the founding members of the Moosehead Club. He was one of the wittiest and most kindhearted person one could ever meet. He is and will continue to be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Monday, April 15, 2013 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 5708 Preston Hwy., Louisville.
