FLOYDS KNOBS - Andres, Paul J. "Paulie," 91, Floyds Knobs, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2013.

Paul served proudly in the United States Army during World War II and retired from Hoosier Panel after 36 years of employment. He was a lifelong member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church.

Paul was born on June 24, 1921 to the late Joseph M. and Bertha L. (Receveur). He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen T. (Engle) and son, Stephen; brothers, Anthony, Ambrose, and Carl Andres; and sisters, Irma Bodenstadt, Martha and Alma Striegel, and Gladys Koetter.

He is survived by sons, Ron (Cindy), John (Janis), Mike (Denice), David (Jan), and Chuck (Sarah); daughters, Rosie Donner (Allen), Kathy Martin (Jim) and Donna Swartz (Vic); grandchildren, Stephanie Andres Rogers (Matt); Leslie Andres Mills; Matthew Andres(Carrie Beth); Amy Donner Lorenz (Chris); Darcy Donner Williams (Sterling); Jessica Donner; Andrea Martin Cooley (Gary); Emily Martin (David Adkins); Stephanie Kirk Colin (Shawn); Erika Kirk McBride (Woody); Kyle Andres (Ruth); Daniel, Lindsey and Kelly Andres; Anthony, Peter and Will Andres; Zachary and Jacob Swartz; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be noon to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 12, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Monday after 9 a.m. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Chapel (5719 St. Mary's Road, Floyds Knobs, IN) with burial and military honors to follow in the church cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Providence Jr. Sr. High School or St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church.
