WIRTH, VIOLET LUCILLE, 84, of Louisville passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2013.
Violet was born in Trimble Co., on July 15, 1928 to the late Joseph Franklin and Ruby Virginia Baker. An artist and homemaker, she enjoyed singing, tending her garden, and researching family history. She was a member of the Filson Club, and a square-dancer with the Stardusters.
Violet was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Virgil Martin "Tony" Wirth; and daughter, Carol Jeffries.
Survivors include her children, James Wirth (Mary), and Brenda Wirth (Gregory Acker); grandchildren, Martha Johnson (Ron), Sean Smith, Emily Modlin (Cole), and Rachel Lewis (Schuyler); seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Bonnie Largent (Craft) and Jonell Watson (Larry Kidd); and brother, George Baker (Barbara).
A memorial celebration for Violet will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. at Ratterman and Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road, with a private burial at Cave Hill Cemetery.
