LAMMERS, CHARLES KENNETH "KENNY," 82, of Louisville, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 15, 2013 at Norton Healthcare Pavilion Hospice Unit.

Born in Louisville, he was a 1948 graduate of St. X High School, a U.S. Navy veteran during the Korean conflict and retired after 48 years at South Central Bell. He was also a past officer of K.S.D.A. and a member of Pioneers of America and C.W.A.

Kenny was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He never met a stranger, and will always be remembered for his sense of humor, storytelling, jokes and riddles.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Adeline (Ritter) Lammers; daughters, Gail Lee (Robert) and Donna Faust; five grandchildren, Matt Lee (Beth), Kirstie Jordan (Michael), Lindsay Gerber (Dan), Alyson Kopple (Casey) and Bobby Lee (Adrian); and eight great-grandchildren.

Kenny's funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, with cremation to follow. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at Highlands.
