NETTLES, STEPHEN G., 89, went home to be with the Lord on July 15, 2013 in Louisville, KY. He was the founder and past owner of Nettles Slipcovers, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War, attended Campbellsville College and was a member of Southeast Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley A. Nettles. He is survived by daughter, Stephanie J. Garling (John) of Louisville; son, David L. Nettles (Kathryn) of Orlando; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and brothers, John (Carole) Sanders and Wallace (Julia) Sanders.

A memorial service will be held at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. at 11:30 a.m. July 27, 2013 preceded by visitation at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Cave Hill Cemetery.
