COOK, BERNARD L. "BERNIE," 85, of Irvington, died Monday July 22, 2013 at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital in Hardinsburg.

He was born May 29, 1928 to the late Jess L. and LeVanda Brooke West Cook.

Mr. Cook was the owner/operator of Roffler of Louisville Barber & Hair Stylist at 3rd & Broadway. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Louisville Breakfast Club.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Carlton Cook; three sisters, Dorothy Basham, Beulah Beauchamp and Mildred Mae Cook. He is survived by three children, Larry (Violet) Cook of Irvington, Elizabeth (Jimmy) Tandy of Greenville, IN and Freda Ann (Kenneth) Bauman of Louisville; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held Friday, July 26, 2013 at 11 a.m. EDT at Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Lodiburg. Visitation will be Thursday, July 25, 2013 from 1-8 p.m. EDT at Alexander Funeral Home in Irvington and after 10 a.m. EDT on Friday at Walnut Grove Baptist Church.
