ASHCRAFT, BILLY JOE, died in San Antonio, TX, on Tuesday, August 20, 2013. He was 82 years old. Born in Lawrenceville, IL, on August 8, 1931.

BJ was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jane Ashcraft; and his brother, Ronnie Ashcraft.

He is survived by his sons, Joe Ashcraft (Colleen), Harold Ashcraft (Dana) and Steve Ashcraft (Richelle); grandson, Dylan Ashcraft; and sister, Avis Ashcraft.

BJ was a retired Captain in the Louisville Fire Department (1954 - 1974) and a Purple Heart Medal recipient from the Korean War.

BJ was a man who lived life to the fullest. A legend is gone.
