David Eirington Roseberry Obituary
ROSEBERRY, DAVID EIRINGTON, of Louisville departed this world Sunday, August 25, 2013, after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was 69.

Born in Waterloo, IA on August 8, 1944, he enjoyed a diverse and productive life. He served in the U.S. Army's First Cavalry combat troop in Vietnam from 1968-69, after which he briefly taught history at Burlington (Iowa) High School. After receiving a JD with highest honors from the University of Louisville Law School in 1974, he went on to serve in the United States Justice Department during the Nixon Administration. From 1975 to 1978, he practiced law in Harlan, KY, and then went on to earn an LLM degree from the University of Michigan. He returned to Louisville in late 1979 where he established a successful private law practice.

Mr. Roseberry was preceded in death by his father, Bruce Roseberry, and his mother, Barbara Barr Averill of Des Moines, IA.

He is survived by his two children, Jessica Roseberry of Louisville and Mark Roseberry of Bethel, CT; one granddaughter, Vanessa Roseberry; a sister, Christine Roseberry, and a niece, Aimee Herman, both of Des Moines; and his former wife, Nancy Roseberry, Kirkwood, IL.

He was an amazing man and will be sorely missed. His most worthy accomplishment was being a wonderful father.

A celebration of David's life will be held at 3104 Verne Court, Louisville, KY 40205 on Thursday, beginning at 6 p.m. and continuing throughout the evening. All wishing to pay respects to him or give support to his daughter are welcome. Arrangements: Highlands Funeral Home
