BLOCK, CAMILLA (LEHMANN), 93, of Louisville, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on October 22, 2013.

Born January 16, 1920, Camilla was the daughter of the late Peter Joseph Lehmann and Mary Elizabeth (Gerwing) Lehmann. She graduated from Mercy Academy in 1938 and married Stanley L. Block, Sr., in 1943. They were together for 40 years, having raised seven children, until his death in 1983.
Camilla is a member of the Catholic Church of the Epiphany, the Frisky Folks at Middletown Christian Church, the Lyndon Chapter of AARP, and was proud to be a KY Colonel.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her four sisters and her brother.
Camilla is survived by five sons, Dr. Lawrence A. Block (Dr. Mary Frances) of Grove, OK, Michael L. Block (Sue) of Columbus, OH, Bruce J. Block (Betty) and Kenneth L. Block (Sheryl), both of Louisville, Dr. Stan Block, Jr. (Melinda) of Bardstown; two daughters, Cathy A. Cook (Dan, Jr.) of Louisville and Dr. Mary Block of Valdosta, GA; and a niece, Betty Hubbard (Roger) of Odessa, FL. To cherish her memory she also leaves 19 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren and counting.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Epiphany, 914 Old Harrods Creek Road with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, October 25, 2013 from 3-8 p.m. at Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road, East Louisville.
Memorial gifts in the form of contributions may be made to Boys Haven, Mercy Academy, Hosparus of Louisville or the Society of St. Vincent DePaul.
