Amy Weller Eleson Obituary
ELESON, AMY WELLER, lost her courageous two-year battle with cancer on November 16, 2013.

Born on June 4, 1973 to Sharon and Dale Weller of Salem, IN, Amy is survived by her husband Phil Eleson; stepdaughter Emma; her parents and her brother Aaron; sister-in-law Deanna; grandmother, Willa Bowling; and nephew Cole. Amy is also survived by her in-laws Cleo and JoDee Eleson of Louisville.

Amy enjoyed life to the fullest, and made the world brighter with her positive outlook, fun-loving attitude, and lifelong commitment to her scores of friends and her family, including dogs Nellie, Porter and Sissy.

Everyone that spent time with Amy knew how it felt to be touched by someone special. She had an uncanny ability to capture the hearts of so many people with her warm smile and simple honesty. To know Amy is to love her forever and ever.

Amy loved the outdoors, and was a member of the Jefferson County Master Gardner Association and completed the Kentucky Derby Mini Marathon in 2011. A graduate of Salem High School (1991) and Ball State University (1995), she enjoyed a very successful career as a senior administrator in the healthcare, nursing home and legal profession.

Visitation will be held 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Dawalt Funeral Home, 204 E. Market St., Salem. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m at Dawalt Funeral Home with an additional visitation period beginning at 10 a.m.
