MARCHAL, ANN MORTON, 63, of Louisville passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014.

Born in Erie, PA to the late Burton and Esther Morton she was the youngest of four children. After surviving her battle with breast cancer, she actively served and volunteered her time with events and fund-raisers. During her time with Komen she was honored to serve on the Board of Directors, was the Louisville Race Chair, and was honored as their Volunteer of the Year.

Ann was also actively involved with Hand in Hand Ministries and Habitat for Humanity. She treasured her memories from Holy Rosary Academy and as a graduate of Bellarmine College.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, David Morton; and very special friend, Linda Stallings.

Survivors include her husband, Dr. Gil Marchal; son, Jeremy Marchal; grandchildren, Clifton and June; brothers, Tom and B.C. Morton; numerous nieces and nephews; many Komen advocates and fellow breast cancer survivors; and many loving friends.

Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at Ratterman and Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road. A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate her life will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Epiphany Catholic Church.
