JEFFERSONVILLE - Waldrip, Jack K., 84, passed away at his home in Jeffersonville Saturday, May 3, 2014.

He was born April 6, 1930 in Earl Park, IN. He was a USAF veteran of the Korean War and retired vice president of Facility Management at Clark Memorial Hospital. He was an avid bowler, antique clock collector as well as a fan of Jeff High and Indiana University sports. He was a 50 year plus member of the Eastern Star Chapter 169 of Remington, IN and Clark Lodge No. 40 F&AM, a Life Member at Large of Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Jeffersonville Rotary Club and a member and Elder at First Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Jeffersonville Carnegie Library and the Howard Steamboat Museum. He was a 2008 recipient of the Clark County Red Cross Bales Humanitarian Award and co-founder of the Jeff Youth Football Program.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years Marilyn; his children, Vani Burns (Victor Smith), Todd Waldrip (Michele) and Starla Brown-McFarland (Jimmy); grandchildren, Caice Lee (Andrew), Annie Ecken (Mike) Jessica Burns (Chris Walker), Alexa and Alana Waldrip, Sabrina and Sheridan Brown; nephew, Jim Waldrip and niece, Jackie McVay; great-grandchildren, Andy and Jack Lee, Eli and Ian Ecken, and Josh Walker. Other surviving family and friends: Richard Henderson (Mayumi), Becky Crull Waldrip and Robert Lanum (Carol).

His parents, Bert and Mabel Waldrip; brother Dale Waldrip and sister Helen Dawson preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held Friday at Scott Funeral Home (North Chapel) at 1 p.m. with burial in the Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 1-8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Friday.
