Dittmeier, Lawrence,

79, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Baptist Health.

He was a devout Catholic and was an associate member of Sister of Charity of Nazareth and a KY Colonel. Lawrence was an Army veteran, worked at Whirlpool Corp. in Evansville, IN. and did janitorial duties at the Nazareth Home.

Larry was preceded in death by his brother, Andrew Dittmeier, Jr. and sister, Virginia Luker.

Larry is survived by his sister, Martha Wiggington (Bob); four nephews; five nieces; and a special great-nephew and great-niece, Cameron and Adriana to whom he was a grandfather figure.

His funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 6500 St Bernadette Ave, Prospect. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of Mass at Church.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to Sisters of Charity of Nazareth or the Humane Society of Greater Louisville.
