Benton, Douglas "Doug",

September 2, 2014, The Day Our Music Died, Doug is the loving husband for 34 years of Donna Brown Benton and devoted Dad of their daughters, Erica Benton and Julia Benton Kimbro; and son-in-law, Michael Kimbro.

Originally from Cincinnati, OH, Doug is the son of Elizabeth "Betts" Benton and the late Byron Benton. His beloved brothers are Jim (and his wife Sandie) and Steve (and his wife Marsha). Doug treasures his relationships with his sisters- and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews and all his family and friends.

Doug is an Army veteran and thus received distinguished care from the personnel of Veterans' Medical Center. Hosparus of Louisville also ministered to us in the final two years of Doug's journey.

Doug's Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Brigid Catholic Church, 1520 Hepburn Avenue, Louisville, KY, 40204. After Mass, please plan to visit and share lunch with the family in Amadeus Hall at St. Brigid Church.
