Matthew Gordon Obituary
24, passed away Sunday May 10, 2015.
Matt was born in Louisville on January 10, 1991, a son of John Robert Gordon and the late Jane Eilert Gordon.
In addition to his mother, Matt was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Esto William Eilert and paternal grandparents John Henry and Mary Anna Gordon.
Matt was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in St. Matthews. He was a very social and funny person; he was kind hearted and very loyal to the things and people he loved.He was an avid University of Louisville fan.
In addition to his father, Matt is survived by his brother John Bradley Gordon, maternal grandmother Bette Doyle Eilert, and Aunt Barbara Ann Eilert.
The funeral service will be 4 p.m., Thursday May 14, 2015 at St. John Lutheran Church 901 Breckenridge Lane 40207 will burial at Cave Hill Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be at the church from 2-4 p.m. Thursday.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to ALS Kentucky Chapter 2815 Amsterdam Road Villa Hills, KY 41017.
Ratterman Brothers Funeral Home 12900 Shelbyville Road East Louisville, KY 40243 is entrusted with arrangements.

I did not know Matthew But he has a huge following online (which is including me) from his papa johns commercial. He will be missed not only by his close family and friends, but also from everyone who knew him from the commercial.

I did not know Matt personally, but we are all so sorry for your loss. Although you may be unaware of Matt's large following online, he will be sincerely missed and forever loved by those that supported him.

So sad, the loss of a child is something I wish on no one.
I will make a contribution to the ALS Kentucky Chapter as soon as I am able. I have some contacts in the US that I can donate through.
