Pointer, Darrell W.,
Darrell W. Pointer, 58 years of age passed away Tuesday May 23, 2017 at his home in New Albany. He was born in Louisville, KY on October 29, 1958 to the late Willie and Lois H. Pointer. Darrell was a maintenance supervisor for the New Albany City Sewer Department where he worked for 35 years, and was a member of the Elks Lodge #429 in Kokomo, IN as well as Masonic Lodge #8 in New Albany, IN. Along with his parents Darrell was preceded in death by his brother Tyress Pointer and his sister Patricia "Gypsy" Crane.
Survivors include his wife Tonya Taylor Pointer, daughter Lindsey Arnold (Aaron), son Johnathon Jamar Tutt, daughters Marlo and Tefa Brown, sisters Marian L. "Pert" Butts (Robert), and Beverly Adams (Liam), grandson Sebastian Arnold, granddaughter Laken Brown.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm Saturday, at Kraft Funeral Service 708 E. Spring Street in New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday in the Kraft Spring St. Chapel with private burial to follow at Abundant Life Cemetery in New Albany.

We are so sorry for the loss of Darrell. He was a very special person. My husband Don worked with Darrell for about 34 yrs. Don's illness prevented him keeping in touch with Darrell after retirement. We are so sorry we were not aware of his passing until now. God bless you all and we will always remember Darrell's good humor and wit.
