Loving Mother, Grandmother,
Sister, and Friend
LOWELL -- Rosalie N. (Bernard) Avery, 74, a resident of the Christian Hill Neighborhood, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Lowell General Hospital - Saints Campus, surrounded by her loving family. Rosalie was the wife of the late Daniel Avery who died on March 19, 2012.
Rosalie was born in Framingham on April 11, 1938, a daughter of the late Leo J. and Arlene (Drew) Bernard. She attended the Boston School System.
Rosalie spent most of her life as a homemaker and mother to her five children. Outside the home, she worked as a secretary at her husband Daniel's Real Estate office.
Some of her favorite places were the ocean and trips to Foxwoods.
Rosalie is survived by four sons and one daughter, Daniel P. Avery of Holyoke, David A. Avery and his fiancé Eileen Calanan of Tewksbury, Darren L. Avery and his wife Susan of Lowell, and Derek S. Avery and his girlfriend Mary Leach of Dracut; her daughter and best friend, Nancy T. Moran and her husband James Moran of Pelham, NH; four grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart, James T. Moran, Jr. and Justin D. Moran of Pelham, NH, and Megan A. Avery, and Jacob D. Avery of Dracut; a brother, Leo J. Bernard and his wife Evelyn of Newport, VT; two sisters, Darlene and Mary Ann Bernard of Malden; also many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Rosalie was the sister of the late Paul L. Bernard.
Rosalie's family wish to express their sincere thanks to the nursing staff at Saints for their kindness, comfort, and compassion.
AVERY -- As was Rosalie's wish, private family funeral services took place.
