Dear Hamel family. I was so saddened to read about Reo's passing. I'll never forget the call I got one day out of the clear blue when I was working at the Lowell Sun. Reo said, "You probably don't even know me, but we're cousins." Of course I knew who he was. I've always appreciated the fact that he made the initial contact after so many years. Diane and I will keep you all in our prayers.

As you gather today for your memorial serice honoring Reo, we would like to join you in remembering him. Reo was a good man----caring, easy to be with, easy to talk with. Because of distance, our times together were few, but we always enjoyed those visits. Joy and Reo have been longtime special friends with us. Our prayers are with you all today.
