NASHUA, NH -- Margaret A. Briand, 65, of Nashua, NH passed away Friday, December 28, 2012 following a long illness. She was born September 24, 1947 in Nashua, daughter of the late Albert W. and Helena M. (Baranowski) Widener.
Ms. Briand was born and raised in Nashua. Her coworkers often referred to her and called her "Sunshine." She enjoyed many wonderful moments with her grandchildren, as her life revolved around the love and time shared with her family. Ms. Briand also enjoyed simply spending time by the water, and had been a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Nashua.
She is survived by three sons; Roy E. Briand, Jr. of Manchester, NH, Gregory A. Briand and his wife Nancy of Nashua and Jeffrey N. Briand of Nashua, four grandchildren; Reina, Emily, Khera and Andre, three sisters; Cynthia Garside and her husband Fred of Hudson, NH, Veronica Camirand and her husband William of Merrimack, NH and Kathleen Plamondon and her husband Paul of Hudson, by her father-in-law; Edmond N. Briand of Nashua and also by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister; Sheila Bariteau.
BRIAND -- Following cremation a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 3, 2013 in the Immaculate Conception Church, 216 E. Dunstable Rd., Nashua at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua. The family will greet friends on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Make A Wish Foundation of New Hampshire, 814 Elm St., Suite 300, Manchester, NH 03101. The Zis-Sweeney Funeral Home, 26 Kinsley St., Nashua is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be offered at www.zissweeneyfuneralhome.com
