Phillip H. Burstein Loving husband and father BILLERICA -- Phillip H. Burstein, age 64, beloved husband of Emily A. (Caggiano) Burstein, died unexpectedly Tuesday, at the Lowell General Hospital. He was born in Chelsea, January 17, 1951, the son of the late Melvin and Ruth (Rubenstein) Burstein and lived in Malden before moving to Billerica 20 years ago. Mr. Burstein was employed for the U.S. Post Office for 23 years having served as the Post Master in Clinton. He was a member of the Billerica Rod and Gun Club. Besides his wife, Mr. Burstein is survived by his daughter, Danielle Burstein of Billerica; and his brother, Steven Burstein of NH. BURSTEIN -- Of Billerica, Sept. 1, Phillip H. Burstein. Funeral Tuesday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 8 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Theresa Church at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Allen T. Curseaden II Retired Tyngsboro Sewer Superintendent TYNGSBORO, MA -- Allen T. Curseaden II, 59, a longtime resident of Tyngsboro, MA, died Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at Lowell General Hospital. He was married to Ruby Gail (Vance) Curseaden with whom he would have celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary on October 20, 2015. Born in Lowell, he was the son of the late Allen and Arlene Curseaden. He graduated from Lowell High School with the class of 1974 and attended Lowell Technological Institute. He proudly served with the U.S. Coast Guard. Allen retired in June 2015 from the Town of Tyngsboro, where he was the Sewer Superintendent for 16 years. He had previously worked as a supervisor for the Big Dig and a super fund cleanup for Tricil of Tyngsboro. In his early years, he worked for the Tyngsboro Police Department and was a volunteer firefighter for Tyngsboro. Allen was a member of the Tyngsboro and Lowell Sportsmen Club; where he enjoyed shooting and was a member of the trap team. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, four wheeling, and was an auto enthusiast. Allen was a student pilot. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Allen T. Curseaden III of Tyngsboro, and Adam J. Curseaden of Tyngsboro; two sisters, Donna and her husband, James McKeon of Tewksbury, and Lori Shaw of Tyngsboro; and many nieces and nephews. Charlotte (Bernard) Johansen Formerly of Billerica, MA; 83 BRADENTON, FL/OSSIPEE, NH -- Charlotte (Bernard) Johansen, 83, of Bradenton, Florida and formerly of Billerica, MA, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2015, at the Rochester Manor, Rochester, NH, after a long illness. Charlotte was the daughter of the late Hartwell and Edith (Millton) Bernard of Pinehurst, MA. She was very active in Girl Scouts and a secondary school substitute teacher. She also played the church piano and organ was well as teaching piano lessons for many years. Charlotte was very active in the Bradenton Golf Lakes Community where she was the founder of the Lighten Up Club. She was also the Past President of the second oldest active High School Alumni Association in the country. Charlotte and her husband, Arthur, spent many summers on Dan Hole Pond in Center Ossipee where she was a former member of the Indian Mound Golf Club in Center Ossipee. She is survived by her husband, Arthur M. Johansen, Bradenton, FL and Ossipee, NH. She was the loving mother of Brenda Bellerose and her husband, Richard, Nashua, NH; Karen Johansen and her husband, Gardner Hendrie, Southboro, MA; Martin Johansen and his fiancée, Yolanda Ellison, Hinesville, GA, and Sandra Sweet and her husband, Wayne, Victor, NY. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Brooke Johansen Garfield, Martin Johansen, Ashley Bellerose, Corey Barber and Alex Barber and great-grandson, Johnny Garfield. She was predeceased by her siblings, Milton Bernard, Palmetto, FL, and Bruce Bernard, Chelmsford, MA. JOHANSEN -- There will be no calling hours. Private services will be held at a later date. Priscilla J. Keefe Member of the D'Youville Senior Care Community Priscilla J. (Stevens) Keefe, age 91, of Lowell, formerly of Waltham, passed away Sept. 1, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Raymond F. Keefe. Mother of Robert F. and his wife, Linda (Kokidko) of Bedford, NH, and Linda J. Austin and her husband, David of Tewksbury. Sister of the late Lillian Shafer and the late Ervin H. Alyce M. "Snookie" (Mullen) Law of Pepperell Alyce M. "Snookie" (Mullen) Law, 78, of Pepperell, died peacefully on August 27, 2015 at Nashoba Valley Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Douglas M. Law Sr., who she was married to for 50 years, until his death in 2009. Linehan, Paul F.  
Paul F. Linehan, Sr. 1921 - 2015 LOWELL -- Paul F. Linehan, Sr., a lifelong resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, died Wednesday, September 2, 2015 with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of the late Anita R. (Notini) Linehan, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage. Born in Lowell on March 8, 1921, he was a son of the late James J. and Theresa E. (Delaney) Linehan. Mr. Linehan served with the United States Army during World War II, stationed in Central Europe. He was employed by Notini and Sons of Lowell for many years as a buyer prior to his retirement. Paul enjoyed working with his hands, he was an avid woodworker. He had a love for music, both Classical and Irish. A lifelong Communicant of St. Michael Church, he was active in the parish community as a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society and Holy Name Society. Until his illness, he was a fixture at the 7 AM daily Mass. Paul leaves four children, Paul F. Linehan, Jr. and his wife, Linda (Boley) of Auburn, NH, Terry Gilmore and her husband, Stuart of Bedford, NH, Anita M. Linehan of Woburn, and James Linehan of Chelmsford; five grandchildren, Kelly, Molly and Alex Linehan, Emma and Sophie Gilmore. He was the brother of the late James J. Linehan. LINEHAN -- Relatives and friends are invited to Paul's Life Celebration on Friday, September 4, from 3 until 7 PM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street. Patterson, David Louis  
David Louis Patterson loving father, brother, uncle and friend LOWELL -- David L. Patterson of Lowell passed away August 22, 2015 after a long courageous battle with cancer. He passed away surrounded by his loving family. Born in Lakeland, Florida on April 12, 1958. He was the son of the late Annette and Harold Patterson of Townsend and grandson of the late Memé and Bill. David attended school in Townsend and later became an expert roofer known as "Bubba Louie" to every roofer in greater Lowell. David took pride in his roofing skills and all his roofing friends. David was a cheerful, loving person who only saw silver linings in his life. He loved the beach, seafood and family get togethers. He spent many peaceful hours reading sitting on the wall at the boulevard. He loved the many hours he spent watching sports, old movie shows and eating out with his son, his pride and joy. David is survived by his son Michael of Lowell, brothers William Patterson and wife Paula of Townsend, Keith Patterson and wife Karen of Minnesota and sister Darlene Patterson Blakely and husband Lee of Townsend. David also leaves his loving companion Tracy Barbour. PATTERSON -- A memorial mass will be celebrated Saturday September 5, 2015 at 11:30 in St. Michael's Church on Bridge St. in Lowell. Come celebrate David with us. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in David's name to the Cancer Center at Lowell General Hospital.
