Eve M. Barnes Loving wife and mother CHELMSFORD -- Eve Mary (DeCarolis) Barnes, age 56, a resident of Chelmsford for 16 years, formerly of Tewksbury, passed away at home on Friday, April 22, 2016. She was the beloved wife of George H. Barnes, Jr. with whom she would have celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary on November 14, 2016. Born in Lowell on August 9, 1959, she was the daughter of Armando J. DeCarolis of Tewksbury and the late Joyce A. (Anderson) DeCarolis. Eve was raised in Tewksbury and attended Tewksbury schools. In 1979, she graduated from Notre Dame Academy in Tyngsboro. Following high school, she attended Northern Essex Community College in Haverhill. For the past 20 years, she owned and managed the Tewksbury Self Storage Company. Eve enjoyed traveling with her husband especially to Italy, Greece, Switzerland, and Florida. In addition, she was an avid golfer, loved riding motorcycles with her husband, and also loved fishing. Eve was known by all to be caring, selfless, and always a listening ear. Her family was her number one priority and she will be deeply missed. Besides her husband and father, she is survived by two children, George A. Barnes and Amanda L. Barnes both of Chelmsford; two sisters, Lynne A. Scannell and her husband Philip, and Sue M. DeCarolis all of Gloucester; also many aunts, uncles, cousins including Stefanie Acierno of Brookline, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Eve was the daughter-in-law of the late George H. Barnes and Elisa M. (D'Amelio) Barnes. BARNES -- Eve M. (DeCarolis). Calling hours are Wednesday, April 27, from 4-8 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Her funeral will be held Thursday, April 28, at 9 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. William's Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment at Tewksbury Cemetery. Bettencourt, Crisolinda C.  
Crisolinda C. Bettencourt Beloved Mother and Grandmother LOWELL -- Crisolinda (Cunha) Bettencourt, 88, the beloved wife of the late Eugenio E. Bettencourt, and a resident of the Back Central neighborhood, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Northwood Nursing Home. Born in Graciosa, Azores, Portugal on February 25, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Jose Delveira Cunha and Cidalia Cunha. Crisolinda received her education in the Azores. Crisolinda met and married her husband Eugenio in Graciosa. Together, they came to the United States in 1968, settling in Lowell. They had celebrated 63 years of marriage together at the time of Eugenio's passing on May 31, 2010. Crisolinda's first job in Lowell was with Commodore Foods Co. She later worked for part time as a seamstress until she took on the role of caring for her grandchildren everyday. Crisolinda loved cooking, going to church, and talking to her friends. Crisolinda was a parishioner of St. Anthony's Church. Surviving Mrs. Bettencourt are her three children, Manuel J. Bettencourt and his wife Susan of Nashua, NH, Clara M. Bettencourt of Lowell, and Walter M. Bettencourt, Sr. of Lowell; five grandchildren, Manuel Bettencourt, Jr. and his wife Kathy, Walter Bettencourt, Jr., Cliff Bettencourt and his wife Kimberly, Greg Bettencourt and his wife Laura, and Travis Bettencourt; five great- grandchildren, Kalvin, Ava, Alana, Nicholas, and Aiden Bettencourt; also many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews in Lowell, the Azores, and Canada. Crisolinda also leaves a dear friend, John Quealey of Lowell. BETTENCOURT -- In Lowell, April 24, 2016 at Northwood Nursing Home, Crisolinda (Cunha) Bettencourt, beloved wife of the late Eugenio E. John C. 'Johnny B' Biondo of Dracut, formerly of Wilmington John C. "Johnny B" Biondo, age 51, of Dracut, formerly a long-time resident of Wilmington, died unexpectedly on April 24, 2016. John was the cherished son of Charles R. and Noreen T. (Skehill) Biondo, dear brother of Julie M. Pozzi & husband, Chris and the late Joseph C. Biondo, loving uncle of Jonathan and Heather Pozzi, all of Wilmington. Devoted companion of Carolyn Callahan and her children Caitlin & D. J. all of Dracut. John is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Brown, Melville C. "Mel"  
Melville 'Mel' C. Brown of Billerica; 79 BILLERICA -- Melville "Mel" C. Brown, age 79, died Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at Southern NH Regional Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Carol A. (Dion) Brown. He was born in Glendive, Montana, on February 8, 1937, son of the late Murray and Gladys Brown. Mel was a Mechanical Engineer at High Voltage Engineering in Burlington, MA for over 30 years prior to his retirement. Mel's greatest joy was spending time with family. He also enjoyed spending time on Martha's Vineyard, the coast of Maine and his trips to Nova Scotia. Among his hobbies were fishing, genealogy, gardening and carpentry. He was the beloved father of Joy Johnson from Rehoboth, MA, Jeffrey Brown from Hudson, NH, Todd Brown and his wife, Charlene, from Hudson, NH, and Jennifer Beaton from Chelmsford, MA; and his stepchildren, David Cross from Westford MA, Mary Beth Thomas and her husband, Gerald, from Sanford, ME, and Timothy Cross and his wife, Pamela, from Lancaster, MA. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, Adam, Ashley, Michael, Kelsey, Jimi, Elizabeth, Andrew, Rebecca, Jacqueline, Collette, Laci, Elliana and Aubrey. Bucknam, Gilbert R.  
Gilbert R. Bucknam Retired Town of Billerica Employee BILLERICA -- Gilbert R. Bucknam, age 74, died Monday at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Lynn, October 23, 1941, a son of the late Ralph and Marion (Kenyon) Bucknam and lived in Swampscott and Lynn before moving to Billerica 49 years ago. Mr. Bucknam served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the American Legion. Mr. Bucknam was employed by the Town of Billerica in the water and sewer department for over 25 years prior to his retirement. Mr. Bucknam is survived by his former wife, Rita (Hogan) Bucknam; his sons, Kevin Bucknam of Woburn and Joseph Hickford of Tewksbury; his daughters, Marsha Bucknam and Georgia Angi of Billerica and Penny Bucknam of Lynn; his brothers, Mark Bucknam of Billerica, Robin and David Bucknam of Lynn and Steven Bucknam of NH; his sisters, Shery Pedra of Melrose and Nancy Lear of Danvers. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Mr. Bucknam was the father of the late George Bucknam and the brother of the late Allen, Ralph and Kevin Bucknam and Connie Ryan. BUCKNAM -- Of Billerica, April 25, Gilbert R.
