Mary Rita Farmer of Lowell; 84 LOWELL -- Mary Rita (Farrell) Farmer, 84, a lifelong Lowell resident, died Friday, March 27, 2015, at Lowell General Hospital, after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife to Richard G. Farmer for the past 64 years. A daughter of the late John and the late Margaret Farrell, she was born January 22, 1931, in Lowell, and educated in the local schools. For the past 60 years she made her home in the Highlands Section of the City, and was a communicant of St. Margaret Church. Mary worked as a receiver at the former Sears Roebuck and Company in Lowell, retiring after 20 years of service. She enjoyed traveling to Florida with husband, and enjoyed taking walks. In addition to her husband, Richard, she is survived by her children, Robert Farmer and his wife, Kathleen, of Merrimack, NH, Kathleen Doucette of Nashua, NH, and Debbie Farmer of Lowell; her sister, Ann Sullivan of Lowell, and she was the sister of the late John Farrell. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Colleen Noonan and her husband, Sean, of Lowell; her grandchildren, Leonard Schuster and his wife, Jennifer, of Merrimack, NH, and Amy Schuster of Nashua, NH; her great-grandchildren, Isabel Doucette of Lowell, and Sebastian, Cassandra, Thalia, and Colleen Noonan, Cassandra Jorge, Collin, and Andrew Schuster; and many nieces and nephews. Ferreira, Patricia J. (Lamb)  
Patricia J. (Lamb) Ferreira of Nashua, NH; formerly of Westford MA NASHUA, NH -- Patricia J. (Lamb) Ferreira, 73, of Nashua, formerly of Westford MA, passed away on Monday March 23, 2015 at Massachusetts General Hospital due to complications of cancer. She was surrounded by all of her loving family. Patricia was born in Lowell MA on March 19, 1942, a daughter of the late James and Claire (Bousquet) Lamb. She was the wife and loving companion of Robert J. Ferreira of Nashua. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 24, 2015. Patricia graduated from Westford Academy with the class of 1960. She will always be remembered as a devoted wife and loving mother who loved her family above all. She loved playing bingo, going to Las Vegas and playing with her grandchildren. Most of all, she loved to support her friends and everyone who needed help. Patricia was a communicant of St. Joseph the Worker Parish in Nashua. Patricia was predeceased by two sisters; her twin Joyce Marchand and Phyllis Hurley. After many years of fighting her battles with illness, God saw her getting weak and tired so He came and wrapped His arms around her and took her home. Besides her husband, Patricia is survived by; Three daughters; Robin David of Londonderry, Teresa McGinley and her husband Brian of Milford, Cheryl Ferreira of Littleton MA, Three sons; Robert Ferreira of Ashland MA, John Ferreira and his wife Julie of Westford MA, James Ferreira and his wife Megan of Babylon Long Island, NY, Seven grandchildren; Nicole David, Timothy David, Hunter McGinley, Heather McGinley, Raymond McGinley, Madalyn Ferreira, James Ferreira and her soon to be born grandson, Three sisters; Carol Mills and her husband Larry of Drums, PA, Kathleen Narankevicus of Westford MA, and Marjorie Lamb of Lowell MA, One brother; Thomas Lamb of Hooksett, Sister-in-law; Barbara Daly, Brother-in-law; John Ferreira and his wife Laurette. Her devoted dog; Foxy. She was a loving aunt to a number of nieces and nephews. FERREIRA -- Visiting hours will be held on Friday March 27, 2015 in the Anctil-Rochette & Son Funeral Home, Nashua, NH 03060, from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday March 28, 2015 in St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 777 West Hollis Street, Nashua, at 10:00 AM. Foden, Leola B. (Brown)  
Leola B. (Brown) Foden longtime resident of Chelmsford; 84 CHELMSFORD -- Leola B. (Brown) Foden, age 84, a longtime resident of Chelmsford died Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Lowell General Hospital following a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of Donald R. Foden, to whom she was married for 62 years. She was born in Boston on April 23, 1930, and was a daughter of the late Ralph E.T. and Elsie (Chickering) Brown. She received her education in Malden schools and was a graduate of Malden High School, class of 1948. She earned her bachelor's degree from Boston University. Prior to her retirement, Leola was employed for 27 years as a special education teacher by the town of Westford. She was an active member of the Central Baptist Church in Chelmsford for many years. Leola was an avid Red Sox fan and a talented cook. She also enjoyed writing poetry, gardening, researching her family's genealogy, and spending time outdoors, especially in New Hampshire. Her greatest joy in life came from spending time in the company of her loving family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two sons and daughters -in-law, Glenn and Teresa Foden of Mount Airy, MD and Gary and Linda Foden of Hudson; and five grandchildren, Becky, Meghan, Joshua, Emily, and Hannah. FODEN -- It being her wish, there will be no visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service at Central Baptist Church, 9 Academy St., Chelmsford on Friday at 10:30 am. Foote, Mary T. (Gacek)  
Mary T. (Gacek) Foote Lowell, MA native; 81 Mary was born in Lowell Massachusetts on November 5, 1933, daughter of the late Caroline (Zebracki) Gacek and Andrew Gacek. She was the wife of 54 years, to her beloved and caring husband Allan "Paul". Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Mass Machine and Stamping, and Teradyne Connection System as an assembler. She and her husband enjoyed dancing. She liked playing scrabble and slots and she was an avid reader. Her greatest pride and joy were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved and adored every grandchild and great-grandchildren. Most of all, the family get togethers were fun and special. Pre-deceased by three sisters, Mildred Foster, Pauline McWilliams and Felicia Kobrenski, and one brother, Stanley Gacek. Besides her husband, Allan "Paul", survivors include one son, Thomas P. Foote and his wife, Denise; two daughters, Donna L. Winsor and her husband, Donald and Deborah J. Gray; nine grandchildren, Angela Dunne, Laurie-Anne Loveday, Dylan Foote, Christie White, Jennifer Stevens, Brian Winsor, Morgan Nash, Lindsay Gray and Peter Gray; two great-grandchildren, Sierra Dunne and Julia Stevens; one brother, Edward Gacek and his wife Carol; as well as several nieces and nephews. FOOTE -- There will be no calling hours. Services will be private per request of the deceased. The Cremation Society of Manchester, NH is in charge.

Fortune, Robert J.  
Robert J. Fortune formerly of Ayer, MA; 85 AYER -- Robert J. Fortune, 85, formerly of Pond St., died Friday, March 13, 2015, at Apple Valley Center, Ayer. He was the husband of Connie (Smith) Fortune who died in 1973 and Ruth (Peck) Fortune who died in 1994. Mr. Fortune was born in Wharton, West Virginia, September 14, 1929, a son of Robert M. and Arnie (White) Fortune and had resided many years in the Ayer/Shirley area. He had attended the United Church of Christ in Shirley and enjoyed listening to music. Mr. Fortune worked many years in the food service industry, beginning in the 1950's at Ft. Lee VA and later moving to Ft. Devens where he worked in a similar capacity. He spent the last thirty years of his career working at the former Park Street Diner in Ayer, retiring in 1988. He leaves many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his son, Robert "Bobby" Fortune, his daughter, Laurie Bates of Newton, a grandson, Robert Bates and a brother, Mickey Fortune of Virginia. FORTUNE -- A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 27, at 11AM in the T.J. Anderson and Son Funeral Home, 25 Fitchburg, Rd., Ayer. There are no calling hours.
