Adelaide D. 'Ida' Fernandes of Nashua, NH, Lowell, MA native; 100 NASHUA, NH -- Adelaide D. "Ida" Fernandes, 100, widow of John C. Fernandes, of Nashua, NH, passed away peacefully at her home, Thursday morning, June 23, 2016. A resident of Nashua for over 70 years, Ida was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on December 4, 1915, a daughter of the late Charles and Antonia DeJesus. She attended Lowell area schools. Ida began working at the Nashua Mills and went on to work at the J.F. McElwain Company for many years. She also worked in the dietary department at Greenbriar Healthcare of Nashua. After she retired, Ida was an active volunteer with the Grey Nuns and at the Senior Center of Nashua, Lowell and Chelmsford. Ida was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed singing for the "Silver Linings" and also enjoyed crocheting. In addition to her parents, Ida was predeceased by her husband, John; her daughter, Evangeline "Angie" Gallant, and eight of her siblings, Tony, John, Frank, Manny, Joe, Adam, Mary, and Angie. She is survived by her three sons, Robert Fernandes, John Fernandes, and David Fernandes and his wife, Maryellen; 12 grandchildren, Lisa Hafley, Thomas Gallant, Michael Gallant, James Gallant, Raymond Gallant, Ann Jenkins, Patty Procek, David Fernandes, Frances Arteaga, Renee Soto, Dorothy Fernandes, and John Fernandes; 18 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Alda Moriarty; many nieces and nephews. FERNANDES -- Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua, NH on Wednesday, June 29th from 4 to 7 p.m. Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home, Thursday morning at 10 o'clock followed by interment at St. Patrick Cemetery in Hudson. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request memorial donations be made to Home Health & Hospice Care, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054. Forget, Joseph W.  
Joseph W. Forget of Pepperell, WWll Vet; 88 PEPPERELL -- Joseph W. Forget, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2016, at Health Alliance Hospital in Leominster surrounded by his loving family, after a period of declining health. He was the husband of the late Barbara (Cutler) Forget who died in 1991. He was born in Lowell on August 31, 1927, the son of the late Napoleon and Alice (Roy) Forget. Joseph served in the United States Army and was a veteran of World War II. He was employed as a Machinist for Impco Company in Nashua, NH for 30 years. He was a member of the Nashua Elks Club and the Lafayette Club of Nashua, NH. He is survived by two daughters, Diane Flathers and partner, William Turner of Fitchburg, and Mildred Losh and partner, Russ Plummer of Newmarket, NH.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by a son, Norman D. Forget and a daughter, Kristine E. Forget. He also leaves a dear friend, Margaret "Peggy" Turcotte of Nashua, NH. FORGET -- of Pepperell, Joseph W. Forget, died June 25, 2016 in Leominster. There will be no calling hours. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Fortier, John M.  
John M. Fortier of Groton; 58 GROTON -- John M. Fortier of Groton, age 58, died on June 21st, 2016 at home with his family. John fought hard for nine months against cancer. John, the son of Paul and Jean Fortier, was born in Berlin, NH and grew up in Sunapee, NH. He graduated from Sunapee High School in 1975 and from UNH in 1979. While at UNH, he met Barb Zemlin and they began the world's longest courtship… After college graduation, John worked in Sunapee for a few years and then traveled with Barb throughout Europe before they settled down together in Acton and then Groton. John and Barb finally got married in 1994 and had three great children: Mike, Bridget, and Johnny. John worked for many years at Epsilon in Burlington and at NEBS/Deluxe in Groton. John loved running, biking, skiing, reading, working around the house, and mowing the lawn. But mostly, he enjoyed his family life with Barb and the kids. His unique humor brought smiles to everyone who knew him. He leaves his wife and children, his three sisters: Sandra Fortier of Sunapee, Christine Fortier of Dillon, CO, Carrie Humphrey of Sunapee, brother Timothy Fortier of Sarasota, FL, and Carrie's husband Chris who was like a brother to him. Numerous in-laws, cousins, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and neighbors and friends all loved him too. FORTIER -- of Groton June 21, 2016, John M. Fortier. Friends and relatives and will be received by the family Friday 5-8 PM at the Union Congregational, 218 Main St., Groton, MA. A Celebration of John's life will be held Saturday at 2 PM at the Church. Foster, Donette Rae "Donna" (Alford)  
Donette "Donna" Rae (Alford) Foster longtime Chelmsford resident; 84 CHELMSFORD -- Donette "Donna" Rae (Alford) Foster, a longtime Chelmsford resident, passed away peacefully in her family home on Monday, June 13, 2016. She was 84 years old. She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Charles. Donna was born in Barcelona, NY, on July 23, 1931, to John and Bertha Alford. She loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Immanuel Church in Chelmsford for many years. She loved spending time at the ocean, especially the Cape. She loved and found great joy in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed. She is survived by her five children and their spouses, Jamie Hunt and her husband Timothy of Chelmsford, Eric Foster of Chelmsford, Marcella Kinney and her husband Bobby of Chelmsford, Bev Mosely and her husband Bob of Newport News, VA, John Foster and his wife Tammie of Wheaton IL; 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; her sister and brother-in-law Winifred and Bill Chapman of Norfolk, VA, and was the mother-in-law of the late Deborah Foster. FOSTER -- Per Donna's wishes, there will be no visitation. The funeral service will be held at Immanuel Church, 301 Boston Road, Chelmsford on June 25 at 11 AM. Interment will be held privately.
