Beatrice F. 'Bea' Sullivan of Lowell; 89 LOWELL -- Beatrice F. 'Bea' Sullivan, 89, of Lowell, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at Concord One, after a brief illness. A daughter of the late Frank J. and the late Maryann (Ready) Sullivan, she was born October 17, 1926, in Lowell, she attended St. Peter's Parochial School and graduated from Lowell High School. Bea made her lifelong home in Lowell, and was a member of the former St. Peter's Parish and was a member of the Ladies Sodality. She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church. While in High School, she worked for Prince Macaroni before become affiliated with the former Courier Citizen as an office worker for more than 40 years until her retirement. Bea was very proud of all of her nieces and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews. She enjoyed time spent with them as they were growing up attending as many of their school and sporting events as possible. As adults, they brought her great pride with all of the prestigious accomplishments. She is survived by her nieces, Marybeth Wallace and her husband, David, of Acton, Joanne Dentier and her husband, Robin, of Littleton, and Nancy Carbutt and her husband, Christopher, of Sudbury; her grandnieces and grandnephews, Dr. James Wallace and his wife, Katelynn, of San Diego, CA, Christine Pavel and her husband, Dr. Michael Pavel of Shirley, Evan Dentler of Littleton, Jonathan and Liam Carbutt both of Sudbury, and great-grandniece, Evangeline Pavel of Shirley. She was predeceased by her sisters, the late Sr. Joan Francis of the Sisters of Charity of Halifax, the late Frances B. Sweeney, the late Patricia A. Sullivan, the late Claire E. Sullivan, Mark E.  
Mark E. Sullivan formerly of Winchester, MA and Port St. Lucie, FL CHELMSFORD -- Mark E. Sullivan, 60, formerly of Winchester, MA and Port St. Lucie, FL, died peacefully on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Town and Country Nursing Home, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family. Mark was born in Winchester, Massachusetts on April 6, 1956. He was the son of the late Robert C. and Theresa A. (Mulhern) Sullivan. He worked for many years in the construction field while living in Florida before coming home to be with his family in the late 1990's. Prior to his illness, Mark was employed at Colonial Auto Body of Lowell where he enjoyed working with his employer and friends. Mark was a wonderful uncle and great-uncle to his many nieces and nephews. He was an avid fan of NASCAR and his favorites were the Earnhearts, #3 and #8. Mark worked hard, lived wildly, loved passionately and for his family and friends, he bestowed a loyalty beyond compare. For all of this, our lives have been much the richer. Mark was the loving brother of Robert H. Sullivan of New Hampshire, Kathleen Sullivan of Hayden, Idaho, Karen Warren and her husband John of Sarasota, FL, Donna Goffin of Chelmsford, and Jackie Santangelo of Chelmsford. He was the uncle to Colleen Cassler and her husband Todd of Franklin, MA, Sandra Beaver and her husband Jason of Las Vegas, NV, John Goffin of San Diego, CA, Paul Goffin of Billerica, Keri Adam and her husband Matt of FL, Joseph Santangelo of Chelmsford, MA and Michael Santangelo of Chelmsford, MA. He also leaves his lifelong friend, Carol Royale Cummins of Palmetto, FL. He was the brother of the late James Sullivan and the partner of the late Jan. Vaccaro, Arthur W.  
Arthur W. Vaccaro of North Chelmsford, MA, WWll Vet; 94 SANFORD, Maine -- Arthur W. Vaccaro passed away on Wednesday, July 20th, 2016, at the age of 94 after an extended illness. Arthur was born on April 18th, 1922 in Chelsea, a suburb of Boston, Massachusetts and was the youngest son of Josephine and Frank Vaccaro, former residents of Sanford, Maine. As an executive working in the shoe manufacturing industry during its heyday in the United States, Arthur previously worked for many companies including Genesco, Weiss and Lawrence, Acme Boot, Melville (Thom McAn), and El Greco where he worked for Charlie Cole, Kenneth Cole's father. He completed his professional career at Nike where he worked with some of the original founders of the company building their US manufacturing presence and traveled extensively for them internationally helping set up their overseas production facilities. During World War II, he served in the U. S. Army Air Corps at Selman Field in Monroe, Louisiana as an engineer. For his entire life, he had a deep love of music and was an accomplished pianist and was awarded a scholarship to Julliard. Arthur was well known in local musical circles where he had appeared in numerous musical programs and was featured on the radio. He also performed for the Armed Services in various events and even played at a pre-show when Bob Hope entertained the troops. His love of music also extended to ballroom dancing; and he was a big fan of the Big Band era. He most recently lived in North Chelmsford, a suburb of Lowell, Massachusetts and also enjoyed his vacation cottage on Square Pond where he spent every summer. Arthur was married for 61 years to the late Marie S. Normand Vaccaro of Sanford and is survived by daughter, Pamela Jane of New Jersey; son, Stephen Joseph and his wife, Eva of New York, and daughter, Linda Marie of Lowell, MA. His surviving grandchildren are Sean Joseph Barry and his wife, Cassandra of Singapore and Dubai; Kevin Lee Barry of New Jersey; and Kristin Marie Vaccaro, Stephen Joseph Jr. Vaccaro, Stephanie Laura Hom Vaccaro, and Lukas James Vaccaro, all of New York. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Eugene Normand; and many nieces and nephews. Arthur was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Vaccaro of Malden, Massachusetts. VACCARO -- Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, August 4th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter St., Sanford, Maine. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 5th at 10 a.m. at St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church, 66 North Avenue in Sanford. Guido A. Valentino formerly of Tewksbury Guido A. Valentino, of Myrtle Beach, SC and formerly of Cambridge and Tewksbury, July 27th. Beloved husband of the late Shirley M. (DeAngelis). Father of Sue Valentino of Waltham, Michael and his wife, Christine of Londonderry, NH, Mark of Myrtle Beach, SC, Matthew and his wife, Carla of Virginia and the late Stephen. Leonard E. Warner, Sr. formerly of Lowell, MA; 78 LITCHFIELD, NH -- Leonard E. Warner, Sr., a resident of Litchfield, NH, formerly of Lowell, died unexpectedly on Thursday, July 21, 2016, at the Southern New Hampshire Medical Center. He was 78. Lenny was born in North Ferrisburg, Vermont on July 9, 1938, a son of the late Clayton and Stella (Danyow) Warner. Lenny went to work on the family farm at a young age. He was the first of his family to venture out and moved to Lowell. He was employed as a truck driver for the WR Grace Co., retiring after 26 years of service. Lenny loved everything outdoors, hunting with his brothers, snowmobiles and atv's. He was a passionate Bruins fan and passed his love of hockey to his sons. Lenny was an exceptional cook. He loved to cook for his family. Lenny cherished children, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed helping out with them whenever his children needed him. Survivors include his son and daughter, Lenny Jr., Pamela Ferry and their families of NH; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers and sister, Clayton Warner, Jr., of New York, Gene Warner of VT, Shirley Mott of VT, Roger Warner of NY, David Warner of VT; a brother-in-law, Arthur Masse of FL; and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Mark Warner who died on Tuesday, and former husband of the late Marie Rose (Masse) Nuber. Mona Whitney Lowell, MA native; 85 NEW MILFORD, CT -- Mona Whitney, 85, of New Milford, CT, lost her battle with Alzheimer's Disease on Tuesday, July 19th, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Nathaniel Whitney, and her brother, Frederick Wise. She is survived by her two daughters, Deborah Chianese and her husband, Anthony, of Bethlehem, CT, and Valerie Keirstead and her husband, David, of Stafford, VA; her brother, Ralph Wise of Lowell, MA; and her former husband, Ronald Coury, of St. Petersburg, FL. She also leaves behind four grandsons...Anthony Chianese and his wife, Chetna, James Chianese, Michael Keirstead and his wife, Alisha, and Philip Keirstead and his partner, Nick Lodico; as well as five stepchildren...Todd Whitney, Judy Montoney, Joyce Thompson Houle, Nathaniel Whitney, and Kent Whitney and their families. Born in 1931 in Lowell, MA to Frederick and Harriet Wise, she attended Lowell public schools and graduated from Lowell High School in 1948. Mona was a woman ahead of her time. She and Nat attended the Unitarian Universalist Church and loved active political and religious discussions. They spent their years as "snowbirds", traveling from St. Petersburg, FL to Ocean Park, ME for over 30 years. She loved biking and playing tennis, socializing with many friends, and spending time with her four grandsons. There will be a memorial gathering for her immediate family only. Stasia Wojtas Loving mother, grandmother and aunt; 94 CHELMSFORD -- Stasia (Christynia) Wojtas, 94, a resident of Chelmsford since 1949, died peacefully at her home on Saturday morning, July 23, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Frank Wojtas who passed away in 1979. Stasia was born in Dracut, MA on July 6, 1922. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Wazocha) Christynia. She received her education and graduated from Dracut High School with the class of 1940. Stasia will always be remembered for her warm, witty, energetic, humorous conversations. She was the mother of seven children, who were all the apple of her eye. Stasia enjoyed traveling, gardening, Scrabble playing, reading, ice cream, and working hard. Above all, her most cherished memories were spent with her family. She had numerous jobs, including school bus driving and teaching, as well as many home projects, including selling chicken eggs, making fish pools, and building stone walls. She also enjoyed volunteering her time to the Chelmsford School Department as an Aide as well as with Meals on Wheels. Stasia is survived by her children, Charles Wojtas and his wife Joan of Chelmsford, Frank Wojtas of Chelmsford, Patricia Wojtas of Chelmsford, Peter Wojtas and his wife Alina of Holden, MA, Robert Wojtas of Chelmsford, Marie Wojtas of Chelmsford, and Kathy Wojtas of Cambridge, MA; as well as her five grandchildren, Enid, Stacey, Frank, Adam, and Jason; her three great-grandchildren as well as her nieces. She was predeceased by her 11 siblings. WOJTAS -- Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 27th at BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, CHELMSFORD from 4 until 8 PM.
