June L. Ricker Longtime Tewksbury resident TEWKSBURY -- June L. (Chase) Ricker, age 91, a longtime Tewksbury resident, formerly of Winchester and Lexington, passed away at the Heritage Nursing Care Center in Lowell on Monday, June 20, 2016. She was the beloved wife of Winfield W. Ricker, Jr., who passed away on November 11, 1992. Born in Littleton on June 22, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Howard W. Chase and the late Louise E. (Lewis) Chase. June was pre-deceased by her daughter, Mildred D. Rice and her son-in-law, Joseph Rice, who both passed away in 2014. She was the sister of Helen, Dorothy, John and Howard. June is survived by numerous extended family members including Marcia Chase, Dana DeMerchant, and Betty Fredericks. RICKER -- June L. (Chase). Calling hours will be Wednesday, June 29th, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury, immediately followed by prayer services to be held at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Tewksbury Cemetery. Robinson, John L.  
John L. Robinson formerly of Groton; 95 HOLDEN -- John L. Robinson, 95, of Holden, formerly of Groton died at U Mass Hospital in Worcester on June 28, 2016. He was born in Groton on March 22, 1921 son of the late John and Sylvia (Lawrence) Robinson and was the husband of the late Mildred (McGrath) Robinson and the late Rose Marie (DiTaranto) Robinson. He grew up in Groton and was a graduate of Groton High School, Class of 1940. He worked as a papermaker for Groton Leatherboard and later Nielson Company. John retired in 1986 and lived in Florida for over 15 years before moving back to the Worcester and Holden areas. He is survived by his son Douglas Robinson of Lone Tree, Colorado and 2 grandchildren Anna and Steven Robinson. He is also survived by stepdaughter Donna Lapierre of Southbridge, stepson Victor Gentile of Worcester, and 3 stepgrandchildren Michael and Francis Lapierre and Gina Lamica. He was the father of the late David Robinson and brother of the late Philip Robinson. Ryder RN, Mary Louise  
M. Louise Ryder RN of Fall River, MA FALL RIVER -- Mrs. Mary Louise (Finucane) Ryder, RN, 91, of Fall River, MA, died early Saturday, June 26, 2016, at Brookdale in North Chelmsford. She was the wife of the late Chester E. Ryder Jr. who died November 13, 2013. Louise was born in Fall River on March 17, 1925. She was the daughter of the late James P. Finucane and Mary Ann (Harrison) Finucane. Louise was a graduate of Durfee High School and Truesdale Hospital School of Nursing. She retired as the Supportive Services Coordinator for the Community Development Day Care Program with the City of Fall River in 1988. Louise had previously worked at Truesdale Hospital as the head nurse of the pediatric unit, and as a nurse with the Head Start Program. Mrs. Ryder was an active member of Congregational Christian Church of Somerset, MA. She is survived by a son, Chester E. Ryder III and his wife, Sally of Dracut, MA; her cherished and beloved granddaughter, Casey and her husband, Joshua McCaffrey of Swansea, MA; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Winston, John, and James Finucane, the late Bernice Turner, and the late Catherine Waring. RYDER -- There are No Visiting Hours. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, July 10, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at the Congregational Christian Church, 1411 County St., Somerset, MA. Santos, Paul D.  
Paul D. Santos Beloved Son, Brother, Uncle LOWELL -- Paul David Santos, 55, a resident Lowell, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, after a brave fight against Scleroderma Myositis. Paul was born in Lowell on March 6, 1961, a son of Theresa (Ferreira) Santos of Lowell who survives him, and the late Roger R. Santos. He attended the Lowell Schools and was a 1979 graduate of Lowell High School. Paul also attended night school classes at the Greater Lowell Technical High School for Electrical Studies. Paul was employed as an Electrician in Massachusetts and in Winter Haven, Florida where he resided for 16 years, returning to Lowell in 2006. For the greater part of his life, Paul lived in the Swede Village section of Lowell where he was a communicant of the former Sacred Heart Church. He was a gifted guitar player and was happiest playing in several Blues Bands while in Florida. Besides his mother, Theresa, Paul is survived by three brothers, Roger G. Santos and his wife, Bonnie of Maine, Robert Santos and his wife, Elaine of Ohio, and Michael Santos and his wife, Sharyn of Dracut; also three nephews and two nieces, and his wonderful God Parents, John and Florence Cortez. Paul also leaves many friends at the Gaelic Club in Lowell. SANTOS -- In Boston, June 28, 2016, at Tufts Medical Center, Paul D. Santos, 55 of Lowell, the beloved son of Theresa Santos. Shull, Ira D.  
Ira D. Shull of Shirley; 52 SHIRLEY -- Ira David Shull, 52, of Shirley, MA, passed away Sunday, June 5 from a glioblastoma brain tumor. He died at home and spent his last days with family and friends. Ira was known for his open, friendly personality; his irrepresible sense of humor; and his gentle, considerate nature. A skilled writer and storyteller, he worked as a writer, editor, and teacher. He did freelance writing and editing for a variety of clients, including several educational publishing companies. He also guided other writers working on their own manuscripts and taught writing classes and workshops in a variety of venues. He published several short stories and a book: "For the Love of Teaching: And Other Reasons Teachers Do What They Do." Ira was born in Arlington, VA and grew up in Lawrenceville, NJ. He earned a bachelor's degree from Oberlin College and a master's degree from the University of New Hampshire, both degrees in creative writing. He is survived by his wife, Anne Parker Shull of Shirley, MA; his parents: Janice and Bernard Shull of Lawrenceville, NJ; and a sister, Abby Shull Sernoff of Doylstown, PA. A memorial service is planned for Saturday, July 9, at 11 am, at the First Parish (Unitarian) Church in Groton. Simmons, Robert J.  
Robert J. Simmons of Billerica Robert J. Simmons, age 69, of Billerica, cherished husband of Janice, died peacefully at the Spaulding Hospital and Rehabilitation of Cambridge on June 22, 2016. Bob was born in Medford on April 2, 1947 and was the dear son of the late William and Janet (Ball) Simmons; brother of Carolyn & her husband Bill Gable, Joseph & his wife Melissa (Glencross) Simmons. Beloved uncle to Michael & Stefanie Gable and Billy, Tommy & Jonathon Simmons all of Wilmington. Bob was predeceased by his sister, Mary and his brother Frank. Family and friends will gather for a Funeral on Monday, June 27th at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rt. 62), Wilmington, at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington at 10:00 a.m. Interment with Military Honors to follow in Wildwood Cemetery. Lorraine M. (Guerin) St.John lifelong resident of Lawrence; 92 LAWRENCE -- Lorraine M. (Guerin) St.John, 92, of Lawrence died Saturday at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen with her children at her side. Lorraine was born in Lawrence on April 17, 1924 to the late Phillip and Louise (Lafleur) Guerin. Lorraine was a lifelong resident of Lawrence and attended Sacred Heart Grammar School and Lawrence High School. She was a lifelong parishioner at Sacred Heart Parish in South Lawrence which the Boston Archdiocese suppressed in 2005. Following Sacred Heart Parish's suppression, Lorraine found a welcoming community at St. Michael Church in North Andover. Lorraine's career started in the Wood Mill shipping department were she worked for 10 years. After the closure of the mill, Lorraine embarked on her new career as a homemaker that encompassed the task she most loved as the supportive and dedicated wife and mother to her two children who were the center of her life. Lorraine's talents included being an accomplished seamstress. In addition, Lorraine pleasures included gardening and cooking and took pride using her home grown vegetables and herbs in her cooking. Lorraine enjoyed traveling in Europe and taking long Sunday rides ambling through the New England countryside with her late husband. One of her most recent joys was the birth of her great-grandson and the precious moments which she was able to share with him. The widow of the late Edward J. St.John, Lorraine is survived by her son Kevin St.John of Lawrence and her daughter Ann Marie Upton and her husband John Detora of Chelmsford. Also among her survivors are her grandson Michael Upton and his wife Heidi of Dracut, great-grandson Brock Upton, as well as many nieces and nephews and their children residing throughout the country. She was sole surviving sibling and was predeceased by her brothers and sisters: Alice (Guerin) Hetherington, Ernest, Laura, Marrietta (Guerin) Withee, (infant) Albert, Alfred, Albert, Maurice, Harvey, Aurora (Guerin) Henry, Arthur, and Ida (Guerin) Tremblay. ST.JOHN -- A Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday June 30, 2016 at 10 AM at St. Michaels Church in North Andover. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Andover. Stewart, Dorothy C.  
Dorothy C. Stewart formerly of Wilmington Dorothy C. Stewart, age 97, passed away peacefully at the Meadow View Center in North Reading on June 21, 2016. Dorothy was born on April 25, 1919, in New Bedford, MA; she was the beloved daughter of the late Harry and Ada (Spencer) Stewart. Dorothy was raised and educated in Wilmington, MA and was Valedictorian of the Wilmington High School Class of 1937 and a graduate of Boston University with the Class of 1941. Dorothy served in World War II as a Sergeant in the United States Army (WAC) and was honorably discharged in 1946; she then went on to a long and successful career with the U. S. Government. Dorothy was an avid world traveler and shared her passion of traveling with family and friends. Dorothy is survived by her sister, Doctor Pearl S. Pitt of St. Simons Island, GA; her brother, Harry T. Stewart of Wilmington, MA, and Norman T. Stewart of Arlington, TX; and sisters-in-law Ann Stewart of Harwich, MA, Charlotte Stewart of Wilmington, MA, and Estafana Stewart of Arlington, TX; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great-nephews who adored their "Aunt Dot". Dorothy was pre-deceased by her brother, Ervyl Stewart and brother-in-law, Dr. Leldon Pitt. Stylos, Panagiota "Pota"  
Panagiota 'Pota' Stylos of Lowell; 87 LOWELL -- Mrs. Panagiota "Pota" (Lagathianos) Stylos, 87, passed away June 28th with her family by her side. Pota was born on August 15, 1928 in Messinia, Greece, a daughter of the late Vassilios and Nicoletta Lagathianos. Loving wife of 53 years to the late Peter Stylos whom she lost in 2008. Pota came to the United States in 1952 settling in Lowell where she found work as a seamstress to help support her family back home. In 1956, she married her late husband, Peter. Pota had a very determined goal of learning English, receiving her high school diploma, and becoming a United States citizen. She did all of these through her studies at the International Institute and the Adult night program in Lowell. Pota was a member of St. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Andover. She is survived by her son, Dr. Louis Stylos and his wife, Lisa; a daughter, Marlene Theodorou and her husband, George; three grandchildren, Peter Stylos, Peter and Christos Theodorou; a sister-in-law, Georgia Themelis; two brothers, Nikolaos Lagadinos and his wife, Constantina, George Lagadinos and his wife, Diamado; and a sister, Stavroula Lagadinos. STYLOS -- Relatives and friends will be received at the M.R. LAURIN FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell on Friday, July 1st from 4 pm to 7 pm. Her funeral will take place on Saturday, July 2nd at 9:00 am at the Funeral Home to be followed by a service at the St Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Andover at 10:00 am.
