N. CHELMSFORD -- Adam J. Landry, Jr., 83, of N. Chelmsford, MA, died Saturday, February 8, 2014, at the Fairhaven Nursing Home in Lowell.

He was married to Anne M. (Pitman) Landry with whom he would have celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on June 30, 2014.

Born in Waltham, MA, he was the son of the late Adam J. and Evangeline Landry. He graduated from Waltham High School in 1949 and from Fitchburg State College with a Bachelor in Science in Electrical Engineering. He also attended Northeastern University.

Adam retired from Raytheon of Bedford, MA in 1992; where he worked for 36-years on the Patriot and Hawk Missiles in the Missile Systems Division.

He was a communicant of Saint John the Evangelist Church and a resident of N. Chelmsford for over 51 years.

Adam enjoyed yard work and working around his home including his automobiles. He loved camping, hiking and swimming, but most of all spending time with his family.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, David Landry and his partner, Phyllis Flaherty of Chelmsford, and Stephen and his wife, Teri Landry of Litchfield, NH; a daughter, Andrea Landry of Townsend; his granddaughter, Kaitlynn Landry; and many nieces and nephews. Adam is also survived by several cousins among them are Elizabeth Sampson and Kim Richards.

He was the brother of the late Mary Richards of Oregon, and Lorraine Harte of Framingham, MA, and the late Raymond Landry of Newton, MA.
