Andrew P. Moreau
of Billerica, WWll and Korean War
BILLERICA -- Andrew Paul Moreau, age 86, died peacefully, surrounded by his family, Thursday, February 28, 2013, at the Blaire House in Tewksbury.
He was the beloved husband of Marie (Cofelice) Moreau to whom he was married 57 years.
He was born in Lowell, May 28, 1926, the son of the late Omar and Alice (Bouressa) Moreau.
Andrew served with the United States Coast Guard
and Army during WWII
and the Korean War. A wounded veteran, he was a recipient of the Purple Heart
, two Bronze Stars, and three Medals of Honor.
After the service, he worked as a tax examiner with the IRS for 25 years.
He was an active member of Lowell VFW 662.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Debra Moreau Moore and her husband, William, of Watertown, and Donna Moreau Levesque of Lowell and her companion, David Sargent, and his son, Steven Moreau of Billerica; his brother, Joe Moreau, and his sister, Pricilla Vigent, both of Dracut.
He also leaves his eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was also the brother of the late Annette Tremblay.
