Loving Mother and Grandmother
LOWELL -- Anne Marie Monterio RN, a resident of the Pawtucketville neighborhood of Lowell, died October 10, 2012, at her home, after a lengthy illness, aged 63 years.
Born in Newburyport, MA, May 28, 1949, a daughter of the late Rosemary DaGraca. She received her early education in the Newburyport and Lawrence school systems, and graduated from Central Catholic High School in Lawrence with the Class of 1967. She furthered her education at nursing school in Boston.
Anne became affiliated with the Tewksbury State Hospital, and later, with the Visiting Nurses Association in Lowell, until illness forced her retirement.
She enjoyed reading, cooking, decorating, traveling and music. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her cherished grandchildren.
Anne was a warm, loving caregiver who will always be remembered for her compassion and endless generosity.
She is survived by three daughters, Nadina DaGraca, Tracee DaGraca, and Lisa Smith and her husband Curtis, all of Lowell; and a son, Gregory DaGraca of Medford. Eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Three brothers, Robert Smith, Brian Smith, and Harvey Smith, all of Lowell; and a sister, Cynthia Smith of Lawrence. Also many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
MONTERIO -- In Lowell, October 10, 2012. Anne Marie Monterio RN, of Pawtucketville, aged 63 years. Friends will be received at the MORSE-BAYLISS Funeral Home, 122 Princeton Blvd., Lowell, on Sunday from 5 to 7 PM. Anne's Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Monday at 11:30 AM at St. Patrick Church, Lowell (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Interment in Westlawn Cemetery. Funeral Directors, Frederick W. Healy and Walter F.
