Loving mother and grandmother
LOWELL -- Beatrice J. (Patenaude) Crowley, a longtime resident of Lowell, died February 26, 2013, after a brief illness, aged 98 years. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul Leo Crowley.
Born in Dracut, MA, November 14, 1914, she was the daughter of the late John B. and Marie (Choinard) Patenaude, and last surviving member of their large family of 13 children. Beatrice graduated from Lowell High School with the class of 1931.
She was employed as a stitcher in the shoe industry for a number of years, and later, as an electronic inspector at Raytheon in Lowell. Beatrice was a communicant of St. Michael Parish of Lowell. She enjoyed dancing and playing Bingo.
She is survived by two daughters; Gloria (Crowley) Fox and her husband, Myron of Natick, MA, and Barbara Jean (Crowley) Fultz of Conway, SC, and three sons, Paul L. Crowley and his wife, Peggy of Hernando, FL, Ronald F. Crowley and his wife, Pat of Tyngsboro, and Gerald Crowley of Florida; 19 grandchildren; and 40 great-grandchildren.
She was the mother of the late Kenneth Crowley, and sister of the late Cil O'Loughlin.
