BRUNSWICK, Maine -- Dorothy A. "Dottie" Cousineau, passed away to her special place in Heaven on February 26, 2013.

She was the victim of dementia. However, her beautiful smile always came through. She was loved by everyone who knew her. She had a great sense of humor and a wonderful outlook on life.

Dottie was a dedicated and devoted wife and mother. In her unselfish way, her family always came before her. She was a fantastic home maker.

She married Louis P. "Phil" Cousineau, formerly of Fall River, Mass., at Saint Patrick's Church in Portland, Maine on December 1, 1951. "I could not have married a better person", Phil said.

She was born in Lowell, MA, a daughter of the late Wilfred and Alma Rondeau Gendreau on December 12, 1932.

Surviving are her husband; three sons, Louis Philip, Jr. (aka) Zoo Cain, of Portland, Maine, Robert of Topsham, Maine, Roger of Key West, Florida; two daughters, Florence Lebel and her husband, David of Brunswick, Maine, Dorothea Edmondson and husband, Steven of Topsham, Maine; two brothers, Robert and John of South Portland, Maine; one sister, Elaine Mercier of South Harpswell, Maine; 11 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Linda D. Norton of Sabattus, Maine; one sister, Claire Clifford, and two brothers, Wilfred and Donald.

COUSINEAU -- There will be a memorial mass at St. Charles Church, 132 McKeen Street, Brunswick, Maine at 12:00 noon Saturday, March 23, 2013.
