Loving Mother and Grandmother
LOWELL -- Elizabeth J. (Senior) Russell, of Lowell, died April 7, 2013 after a period of declining health, aged 82 years. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur J. Senior.
Born in Lowell, October 8, 1930, a daughter of the late Oliver T. and Beulah R. (Pinkerton) Bush. She received her early education in the Lincoln school system and was a graduate of Lowell High School. She furthered her education at Lowell Commercial College, and graduated with a degree in Accounting.
Elizabeth became associated with Community Team Work as an Accounting Analyst for over 20 years.
She enjoyed traveling, playing her favorite slot machine at Foxwoods, solving word search puzzles and playing bingo. She was a member of the Red Hat Society at Willow Manor.
Mrs. Russell was a devoted mother, who raised nine children on her own after her beloved husband died at a very young age. She was a fabulous cook, independent, kind and loving. She will always be remembered for her strength and character.
She is survived by six daughters, Nancy Irazarez of Lynn, Judy Landry of Lowell, Donna Trudel of Pepperell, Kathey Trottier of Lowell, Caren Sponholtz of Lowell and Lorraine Fonseca and her husband Eric of Lowell; and one son, Larry Senior of Lowell. A sister, Barbara Chattley of Lowell. Twenty-two beloved grandchildren, Erica MacArthur, Cindy Fonseca, Michael Fonseca, Scott Senior, Alan Jordan, Nikki Colon, John Trudel, Jacqueline Pettingell, Larry Landry, William Landry, Jessica Landry, Laura Sponholtz, April Sponholtz, Marc Trottier Sr., Ronnie Savage, Steven Savage, Shawn Savage, Kelly Senior, Jennifer Senior, Bobby J. Senior, Tammy White and Joey White. She also leaves many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Barbara Savage and Bobby Senior, and sister of the late John Bush.
