George A. Boule
PEARL HARBOR SURVIVOR
DRACUT -- George A. Boule, 90, died January 25, 2013 at Lowell General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Jeannette A. (Giguere) Boule whom he shared 69 years of marriage.
George was born in Dracut, MA on October 5, 1922. He was the son of the late Joseph Boule and Clarise (Brunnelle) Boule.
He proudly served his country during WWII
in the United States Navy
. He served in the Pacific on a mine sweeper.
Prior to his retirement, George was employed at the Boston Naval Ship Yard as a sheet metal worker for 30 years. He was then employed as a custodian in Dracut High School for 14 years.
In his free time he enjoyed gardening. He was a member of the American Legion in Dracut, Post #315 as well as a member of the Men's club at Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Parish in Dracut. George was also a survivor of Pearl Harbor.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his three children, Leo Boule and his wife Suellen of Dracut, Denise Pinette and her husband Daniel of Hudson, NH, and Richard Boule of Hampton Falls, NH; his brothers Harvey Boulay and his wife Dorothy and Roland Boule; his sister-in-laws Therese Bouley and Pauline Boule; as well as four grandchildren, Michael Boule, Wendy Boule-Mendonca, and Kristopher Boule; many great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
George is predeceased by his grandson Spc. Mathew Boule as well as his brothers Charlie Boule and his late wife Violet, Lionel Bouley, and Gerard Boule; as well as his sisters Theresa Provecher and Claire Coughlin.
BOULE -- Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respect at DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut, MA on Monday, January 28th, from 4 until 8 PM. His Funeral will take place from the Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 29th at 10 AM followed by his Funeral Mass in Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Parish in Dracut at 11 AM. Cremation will follow.
