CHELMSFORD -- Mr. Gilbert Boudreau, age 93, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, died on Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at a local healthcare facility. He was the husband of the late Jeannette M. (Perrin) Boudreau who died in 1997.

Born in Lowell on December 15, 1919, he was a son of the late George and Mathilda (Larocque) Boudreau.

Gilbert was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, having served from 1942 until his honorable discharge in 1945.

He was a parishioner of the former Notre Dame de Lourdes Church.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a foreman by the former Commodore Foods.

Gilbert loved fishing and sports and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Philip P. Metivier of Chelmsford; three grandsons, Michael P. Metivier and his wife, Michelle of Westford, Jeffrey P. Metivier and his partner, Jorge Rosito of Washington, DC, and Matthew G. Metivier of Boston; and three great-grandchildren, Caitlin, Megan and Sara.

He was also the father of the late Priscilla Boudreau who died on Feb. 23, 2012, and brother of the late Charles, Walter and Leon Boudreau.

BOUDREAU -- Mr. Gilbert Boudreau. It being his wishes, there will be no visitations. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his committal service with military honors on Monday, Dec. 2, at 1 p.m. in the chapel at St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
