Loving mother, grandmother,
great-grandmother, and aunt; 90

LOWELL -- Helen E. (Jones) Sullivan, 90, a Lowell resident and longtime communicant of St. Margaret's Parish, died Wednesday morning, April 10th, at D'Youville Senior Care Center in Lowell.

She was the beloved wife of the late James F. Sullivan who died May 8, 2006.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, April 19, 1922, the daughter of the late Harold and the late Helen (McCaughey) Jones, she attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School in the Class of 1939 where she also served as a Girl Officer. She then went on to further her education at the Bradshaw School of Business in Lowell.

Helen was a member of the Blessed Virgin Mary at St. Margaret Church in Lowell.

Being all about family, Mrs. Sullivan loved spending quality time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

For many years, Mrs. Sullivan and her family vacationed at Boar's Head in North Hampton Beach, New Hampshire and York Beach, Maine. She and her husband, James enjoyed traveling, including trips to Ireland, Bermuda, Canada, Florida, and the Caribbean.

Helen is survived by four children, Michael J. Sullivan and his wife, Donna of Lowell, MA, Karen M. Sullivan of Andover, MA, Kevin W. Sullivan and his wife, Gail of Lowell, MA, and Mark P. Sullivan and his partner, José Colón of Arlington, VA; five grandchildren, Erin Heise and her husband, Robert of Chelmsford, MA, James Sullivan and his wife, Bridgett of Lowell, MA, Meghan Stamm and her husband, Russell of Dedham, MA, Eric Sullivan and his wife, Lyndsey of Lowell, MA, and Ryan Sullivan and his wife, Aimee of Lowell, MA; eight great-grandchildren, Ryan and Caitlin Heise, Connor, Brendan and Patrick Stamm, Julia and Ava Sullivan and Kailey Sullivan; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also sister of the late Kathleen Connolly.

Helen's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff of D'Youville Senior Care Center for loving care and dedication to their mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Friends may call at the O'DONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 276 PAWTUCKET ST. at Fletcher from 4 to 7 P.M. on Friday. Her Funeral will take place from the Funeral Home Saturday morning at 8:30 o'clock followed by a Funeral Mass at ST. MARGARET CHURCH in Lowell at 9:30 o'clock. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery.
